I only get the original since it’s the best quality water filter and The only one that significantly slows down the water pressure and that’s how you know it actually filters the water. Also, flavor wise, this one is better than the fake ones. It’s a little heavy but you don’t really feel it besides when changing the filter. Very easy to install, just twist the top of the PUR filter house and change the filter inside. Lasts for 2 months for me, but we also use quite a lot of water in the house hold. The house comes in various colors so you can choose one that fits your style. Fits in place and doesn’t leak.

The filter didn't come with the o ring on the side or the ones on top, the picture on the box shows the side "O" ring on the new filter, I don't know if it is really filtering water. I haven't opened the second one yet. I'm calling PUR to find out why it doesn't have it. I hope it really does filter for what it cost. I've only bought the PUR brand not the generic ones. I will review my comments after talking to PUR. I contacted PUR today and they told me that the "O" ring on the side and the rubber gaskets on top are not needed, they did not change the filtration of water and were an un needed expense to install them. I personally will not purchase any other brand since they are not endorsed by PUR, they told me they sell directly to Bolo and to purchase directly from Bolo not a 3td party. PUR has a 30 day guarantee on their products. I have been using PUR water products since 1990's and have been satisfied with them.

These really are helpful! We live in the country in an old house and our water has never tasted great and it was also rusty. We bought these to put in our Pur filter for our sink and they work SO good!! They literally made the water taste good, somehow!! No weird aftertaste anymore!The water was clear, the flow was great and it's easy to replace them when they get bad!!Overall I recommend this product!

I Have well water. So there are a lot of extra dirt minerals, and all kinds of things in there that I do not want to put in my body. My water also has a smell to it. An egg Kind of smell because it is well water, And I switched to pur Because I feel like it was way better than other Filters I’ve used in the past. It’s super easy to install. You just pop it right in there close the back. One filter usually last me about three months. And I am a frequent user of it. And when I use it, there’s a great taste and no smell. I love it.

I’m just on my first one in this order, but I have used these filters for years! Each one is good for 3 months, and then you just replace! I have a Pur water filter system on my tap, and when you replace a filter, or use it for the first time, there is a light that comes on, it depends on how much filtered water you use, but for at least 2 1/2 months, the light stays green, and then it turns yellow, warning that it is getting close to needing to change, and the yellow light turns to red, after a couple of weeks, and that is when you replace the filer! Easy peasy! There is a a thing on the system that you flip when you just want to do dishes etc., and then it is just regular tap water, but be careful not to run HOT water through the filter! I love my Pur water filtration system!
