I’ve purchased other Faber Castell art supplies and haven’t been disappointed yet. These are Artist quality. I even have their cheaper set, which I started with to see if I’d like using them. I’ve got a long way to go with watercolor. I’ve conquered other mediums and always look forward to a new challenge. They sharpen well and the pigment is strong. The majority of colors have excellent lightfastness. It even comes with a small pamphlet on the different ways to use the pencils. I’d recommend.

I LOVE these pencils. The pigment is really rich and they write so smoothly. The color range is great. I sometimes use these with my watercolor pans or alone with pen and I have been really satisfied with the results. I’ve used a couple of other brands (Fantasy and Artistico) and these far surpass those, which makes me feel good about splurging. The packaging is durable and will keep the pencils safely stored.If you’re on the fence about spending a little extra, treat yo’self! They’re definitely worth it and so are you!

The paint is creamy and super pigmented. They blend seamlessly and layer beautifully. You can use them in so many different ways and a little goes a long way. It was worth the splurge!

These colored pencils are high end. They are vivid colors and plenty of them. The only thing that’s missing is a color blender. I think that if you’re going to do colored pencil drawings, having different brands is a good thing to do as every brand has different characteristics. Highly recommend these Faber-Castells.

If you consider buying these watercolor pencils you probably expect top artist quality, and that is what you will get. They have beautiful, clear colors, they dissolve in water very well, and you get a lot of pigment from a simple touch of the tip with a moist brush. They sharpen well, don't break easily and feel comfortable in the hand. So whether you want these to supplement ordinary watercolors or as a standalone art product, I think you will be as happy as I am. On a budget, I feel 36 is the best compromise. You can absolutely make do with 24, but smaller sets will leave you quite limited (it's not exactly like tubes, where a basic split primary gives you all you need). If you can afford and justify the bigger sets, go for it (I miss Prussian Blue sometimes, but there is open stock).

I LOVE these pencils. There are some go-to colors I use a lot. The grays are really nice, warmer tones. Can’t say enough how much I enjoy these. Vibrant enough, doesn’t wash out when you add water, haven’t had a lot of problems with them not wanting to move once on the paper. They seem to always blend out well. I added an individual skin tone to my set.

Great quality
Excellent quality and great tool to work details. They’re creamy and the colours are vibrant once activated with water. I bought them after watching several reviews in YouTube that provided important information about why these are the best watercolour pencils in the market. They are pricey, but it’s a pleasure painting with them.
