First of all, let me start of saying I never write reviews, so I hope that tells you something. I bought this lotion while my husband and I were in Hawai'i on our honeymoon. I have freckles with semi-fair skin, so I tend to burn - then tan. The Maui Babe lotion is truly amazing! It smells wonderful and goes on light. We had a Jeep while visiting Hawai'i for 10 days, so I ended up with a slight case of sun poisoning on my chest. I applied the Maui Babe and Aloe for 2 days, and the sun poisoning was gone. I didn't peal AT ALL!! In addition, I literally kept my tan for at least three weeks after returning from Hawai'i. One of the more interesting things; I have noticed a difference in my skin. I have never been much of a makeup person, as I like the natural look. Mascara is it. I am 35, so age is slowly creeping up. I started using Vitamin C serum a year ago, but didn't notice much of a difference. After two weeks of using the Maui Babe; my face had a glow and looks so healthy. My fine lines seem to be less and my skin looks more alive. The lotion doesn't irritate my skin one bit, nor did it cause me to have any sort of pimples; however, I am blessed to have never had an issue in that department. I don't know if it will do the same for you that it has done for me, but I feel that the natural ingredients in this secret lotion are magic. Sometimes it's the simplest things that do the trick. I have everyone in my family using it. I highly recommend it!!

Any time I get even a little red I put this on and it’s perfect the next day. Found this stuff in Hawaii on a trip and honestly couldn’t live in the hot desert (Tucson) without it. Grateful to find it on Bolo since I don’t live in Hawaii (sadly lol)

Not sure about the tan extending yet - but you have to use less - it takes longer to absorb- used once skin feels soft not dry - light smell -

I’m pretty fair and this lotion helps so much if I’ve been in the sun too long. It quickly cools the burn and turns the red to tan.

i got this for my trip to greece for the summer and i’m in love with it. i’m so pale im practically translucent. obviously not a substitute for sunscreen (also a saving grace here) but if the sun still ends up burning you, put some of this on and it was healed the next day!! it’s not a super thick moisturizer, but it did its job really well. i would definitely repurchase!

This was originally recommended to me in 2017 by a friend. I was surfing in Hawaii and got reallyyy burnt! I’ve always hated peeling and had a presentation at work the next day. They told me about the magic of Maui Babe and I didn’t believe them at first. They said I wouldn’t peel and my sunburn would turn into a beautiful tan! I was skeptical at first, but here I am years later still using Maui Babe religiously anytime I’m in the sun and afterwards if I feel myself getting a sunburn. I’ve never peeled with this and always feel moisturized!

I’ve used a number of after sun products over the years. This product has worked the absolute best at maintaining my tan with zero peeling where applied. It has also expedited healing over night which allowed for more sun time the next day. Will be purchasing more to use after vacation!Update! There seems to possibly be different formulations being sold by different sellers. I received my second bottle and it had a different back label than the first, the formula was very thick and tacky. I returned and it re-ordered from the first seller I bought from and it’s perfect. I recommend not ordering from the seller Trademark due to this.

I first used this in Hawaii and brought it home. It is the only lotion that gets rid of the winter itch on my skin. I have tried everything I could think of - this is the only thing that works for me. I can also use it on my entire face with no allergic reaction - simply the best for me.
