5.0 out of 5 stars It's OEM at big discount from dealership
If you drive a 2010 cadillac dts then you know antifreeze is something you only buy ac delco brand since these cats have such temperamental cooling systems. They came on time and it was a lot cheaper than the dealership for same stuff. I will keep buying in the future. Thanks Bolo for bringing these products to us at such a great price.

I have always believed that friends don't let friends buy non-OEM products for their automobiles. Why? because generic non-OEM automobile products are, at best, only 80% accurate to OEM specifications. This AC-Delco antifreeze is for my 1948 GMC Pickup Truck (with a 350 V8) and 1941 Chevrolet (with 235cc).When non-OEM manufacturers make products, they are attempting to copy the OEM's product - which the OEM invented. This is especially true today with computerized automobiles. Any part that interacts with the vehicles computer system must be OEM, otherwise you are asking for trouble. So, why would I spend an outrageous amount of money for something like OEM (AC Delco) antifreeze when I could buy Preston or Walmart brand for a fraction of the cost? Isn't anti-freeze - just anti-freeze?The answer is not as simple as that - but is generally "no". Each manufacturer develops their own brand of antifreeze for a reason. Their engines are tested under the most brutal conditions of heat and cold and from there, the OEM manufactures their antifreeze to work under those conditions to protect the engine from damage.Every manufacturer's engines are different, so one version of antifreeze does not fit all. Because the metals and chemical elements that engines are made from, are all a different combination of steel, iron, aluminum and plastics. This produces different tolerances to heat and cold. Antifreeze must be fashioned for each individual engine.A generic antifreeze will probably work fine under non-severe conditions, but when conditions are severe is when an OEM antifreeze makes a difference. Below zero and above 100F - that is when you want an OEM antifreeze in your cooling system.
