Researching and experimenting with raw materials is a journey that never ends. After processing, the beans undergo a meticulous selection to ensure zero defects: even a single imperfect Arabica coffee bean can compromise the aroma of our blend. We preserve and enhance the aromas through our patented pressurized cans. Patented in 1934 by illy, pressurization is a preservation system in which the air in the tin is replaced by an inert gas at a pressure greater than that of the atmosphere. In this way, not only is the freshness of our coffee maintained, but its aroma is also enhanced.

I must admit to not being a coffee snob, but this brand is amazing. The taste and aroma is outstanding. Not bitter, very smooth. Was bought with the intension of using in a French press travel mug, but the grind is fine enough for a cappuccino machine. Made this in our drip maker instead. Rather expensive for the amount you get, but so delicious for a Sunday breakfast splurge. 5 stars for taste, not value.

Excellent, flavorful coffee with a smooth taste and pleasing boldness. After considering another reviewer's recommendation, I acquired the Classico Espresso Ground Coffee, Medium Roast, 90th Anniversary Edition, 8.8 Ounce Can. This was in preparation for making a cappuccino, for which I brewed one shot of espresso using my De’Longhi Espresso maker. From this enriching experience (smiling), I would not choose any other espresso coffee. The price point is excellent. The flavor is equivalent to or better than the coffee I purchased for over $30.00. In closing, I hope your pallet is pleased by this delicious espresso coffee.

The Illy classic roast is delicious and has plenty of body, being not too dark but also flavorful enough to have black or with some sugar and milk and still get that chocolatey taste to come through. The tin is very convenient as it is secure and keeps the coffee fresh for as long as you are using it, and it even comes vacuum sealed. Additionally, I find the pre-ground blend for the moka to be especially convenient as it’s the perfect size grain and easy to scoop. One tin does last a good amount of time, I make two shots of espresso every morning and occasionally in the afternoon and it will last about 3 weeks on average. You definitely do get your money’s worth and it tastes better than most other store-bought coffee brands.

I like its taste and aroma. This time I ordered online. As can be seen in the picture, the cap for decaffeinated one is missing. I had to put it in a jar when I open it.

This decaf expresso is so smooth tasting. There is no bitterness at all. I will be buying it again. The only issue I had is that it came without a lid. It was sealed with a metal peel back lid that gets thrown away one you open it, but there wasn't a lid to put on it after you open the sealed lid

I LOVE illy coffee, and specifically use it with a French press. 2-3 spoonfuls with hot water. It’s the best ground coffee out there, and the tin package is so cute! The entire room smells like a coffee shop when this is brewed. Such a peaceful way to start the morning. Best high quality coffee for what you’re spending.Also. I saw the same thing at Whole Foods for $18!

I used this in my moka pot, and it came out great. Very strong, so if you are not looking for espresso taste, then probably not going to like it unless you are making a mixed coffee drink with cream and flavor.

I love decaf espresso drinks because I can’t have a lot of caffeine but I love the taste. This espresso is perfect to get my fix at home instead of spending 6-7 dollars at Starbucks. Great value for the price and I will continue to order.
