This works great loosening rusted fasteners both with the penetrant and thermal shocking. There may still be times you need to get the torch out, but this works well in many cases.

I bought this Freeze-Off on Feb 5th and put it on a shelf till I needed it - which turned out to be today, March 25th. The return window has closed, but "what could possibly go wrong" with a fresh can of CRC product? I just needed to remove a 12 mm long (6 mm thread OD) steel, pan head screw from an aluminum engine block.Following instructions, I attached the applicator straw and directly blasted the screw head (left one in the pic) for 30 seconds, but noticed a considerable amount of oil, no obvious signs of cold, and the screw wouldn't budge. So, I used a non-contact thermometer to measure the temperature of a small wrench that I laid on my workbench. A 30-second blast on the wrench produced a temperature of 45 degrees F - not exactly freezing, let alone providing a Freeze-Shock Action. However, I did get quite a puddle of penetrating oil on the bench.I've actually used this product a few years ago and was totally satisfied with it. So, I'll try another can, purchased this time from a local auto parts store. And based on other reviews I've seen here, one might consider actually testing the product when it arrives, and before storing it till needed.

I guess it was because I couldn't get a steady stream of fluid on the bolts that the temp never dropped enough to make a difference. Whatever the reason, this didn't work for me and was a waste of time and money.

CRC Freeze-Off did not meet my expectations.
I had heard of all the hype surrounding the Crc Freeze-Off Super Penetrant but I must say I was a bit disappointed.First of all I had purchased a new hub bearing assembly for a 2004 Nissan Murano but in order to install this I must first remove the abs sensor wiring harness (sensor protrudes into steering knuckle and then into a cut-out slot at back of hub bearing).I first attempted to remove the 10mm bolt securing the abs sensor after spraying it with the CRC Freeze-Off and allowing it to penetrate for a while. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed when the bolt head snapped off completely after coaxing it in a back and forth motion in an attempt to remove it in one piece. I ended up drilling the bolt and tapping new threads so as to install a new bolt.My second attempt was to remove the sensor itself from the steering knuckle after soaking it with the CRC spray.I feverishly tried to remove it in one piece so it could be reused but it came out in pieces.I ended up purchasing a new abs sensor for $160.00.To summarize, I could have purchased the complete hub and bearing assembly together with the abs sensor for $100.00 at the wrecking yard.Therefore, I will not be purchasing this product in future again.
Very disappointed
I tried this spray and not only did it not freeze but was only ambient temperature. I have used other brands of sprays and recorded -30 degrees on objects sprayed.
