The media could not be loaded. The ink is extremely opaque and waterproof. The brush flows so well and is the perfect balance of stiffness and softness. Does great for fine lines and broader strokes. I’ve tried so many other brands and keep coming back to this one. The ink lasts a long time too, which is amazing. It flows smoothly, with just enough grab on the paper. 10 stars!I also have this same pen in white, and it writes beautifully as well. Perfect for writing on brown Kraft paper cardstock or darker colored paper. It’s also pretty opaque and shows up well!

I am reawakening my drawing and sketching skills and had been reading a lot about brush pens. When this Faber-Castell brush pen was brought to my attention, I decided to make the modest investment and give it a try. Good decision!It is early days to say how I will incorporate this pen in my drawing and lettering plans, but I'm enjoying the creative journey and building my skills.The pen is light weight and very fluid/smooth when sketching. The india ink doesn't bleed through my basic sketchbook pages (a real plus). While it is very pleasant to use, it also requires practice to get a better feel and control over transitioning between fine and bold lines, and lettering.It really does feel like writing with a paint brush -- very smooth and flowing. I'm enjoying this new drawing experience.A great start!

Just lowered this from a 5 to a 4 because of the Fudensoke Tombow pen which is my favorite right now. I just started teaching myself brush hand lettering about a month ago and this is in my top 5 favorite pens to practice with. I have wasted money on a few that ended up in the trash. I have the Tombow dual brush pens which I like quite a bit but I find this brush tip to be a bit more firm so I can create thin and thick strokes with one sweep of the pen.

Title says it all. And even though it maybe a bit more yellow than I would have liked, it still looks way too beautiful.The tips are excellent, durable and with a great reflex to return back to normal. The ink is waterproof and the pigment of very pretty.They may appear expensive, and maybe they are compared to the student focussed brands, but the ability to stay on the paper in areas where you would rather avoid blending or getting already applied colours mixed with water or other colours is way too much needed in more complex drawings especially of you draw directly with markers and brush pens. And even directly with water colours. It is a mush have for such people.
