5.0 out of 5 stars These combination filters and aerators are probably the best tool in a wine drinker's kit
These combination filters and aerators are probably the best tool in a wine drinker's kit. Most of the table wine we buy is moderately good wine, then we hold it for 5-7 years before drinking. At least an hour before drinking we decant the wine into a serving vessel, using this 'tool' and it takes out the natural sediment as it as it aerates the wine - the end result is that it makes it the best wine it can be at a minimal price and effort. The 'tools' are also very easy to clean, just rinse with tap water. They are made of quality stainless steel so they last for years, there is no corrosion or sediment build up of any kind. I have bought them for family and friends and they feel the same as we do about their amazing utility and practical value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wine Gadget That Actually Works
Great fine mesh strainer for eliminating sediment quickly and easily. Fits into most decanters, or use with the included funnel to double decant back into the bottle. Clean up is easy, as all parts are dishwasher safe. A wine gadget that is actually useful.
5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality
I absolutely love this device. Not only does it filter my wine but it aerates and improves the flavor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Two for one gadget that seems to work well
I was looking for a non-plastic aerator and this one did the trick. Haven’t used the screen portion yet, it I have some old bottles of red wine that I’ve been saving ( forgot about!) and I think this will help filter the sediment. I’ve read you’re not supposed to aerate old wine, so I like the fact that the two functions are separate. I just tried it on an inexpensive bottle that came in a gift package — aerating directly into the glass vs decanting ... and it was surprisingly drinkable. Not sure if that was because of this gadget, or if the wine itself wasn't as bad as I expected. I’ve only used it a few times; just got a new decanter, so will try that combo method as well. So far, I like it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Strains ALL Sediment - but Be Patient!
If you cannot stand any sediment in your decanted wine, this is the product you've been waiting to find. The fine mesh double screen in this strainer will keep out all but microscopic sediment. HOWEVER, you'll need to be extremely patient. In an older wine with noticeable sediment, after roughly the first 4-5oz (~120-145ml) the fine mesh will quickly clog and result in a very slow trickle into the decanter. The receptacle for the strainer holds about 2 oz. (~60ml) of wine at a time. So, with a 750ml bottle holding 5 standard pours of wine, after roughly the first standard pour-equivalent, you'll be nursing the straining thru several cycles before the remainder of the bottle is strained. You'll end up with a decanter full of about the most perfectly strained sediment-free wine you're going to find, but, again for emphasis, you'll need to be patient with the process using this fine-mesh strainer.
5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality filter & funnel
A little pricey but an excellent, high quality filter/funnel. It's nice that the filter separates from the funnel. I say pricey but what about that $50+ bottle of wine you're pouring?
5.0 out of 5 stars A Truly Remarkable Wine Aerator!
This is a really positive review because this Rabbit Wine Aerator Shower Funnel with Sediment Strainer is simply amazing! From the moment I started using it, I was blown away by its exceptional performance. Not only is it incredibly easy to clean, but it also has a 2-in-1 process that both aerates the wine and traps sediment. It quickly aerates the wine, bringing out its full flavor and exposing it to more oxygen. And the best part? No mess or splashing! The durable stainless steel construction ensures its longevity, and the removable sediment strainer is a game-changer if a cork breaks. I've been using this wine aerator for years, and it's still my absolute favorite. Cheers to the Rabbit Wine Aerator Shower Funnel with Sediment Strainer for making every wine-drinking experience extraordinary!
5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Useful Gadget for Wine Enthusiasts
This is a truly great gadget that meets a serious need for those of us who enjoy aging our wine to its optimum. I can vouch for how hard it is to find a metal sieve fine enough to filter out wine sediment. All I’ve been able to find are tea strainers that aren't nearly fine enough. For years I’ve had to wait for my wine to drip through coffee filters. But this little star has a truly fine stainless steel filter. It does a great job quickly, and then can then be rinsed out easily. Combining that with a wine-aerating funnel that can be used with or without the filter is a design coup. I’ve purchased several of these. They are making well- appreciated gifts for my friends and relatives who are wine enthusiasts.
ÓTIMO/ FUNCIONA
Filtra perfeitamente, produto otimo, vale cada centavo
Excelente embudo.
Fantastic quality!
Absolutely impressed, highly recommend! The filter is super fine and removed all sediment, also aerates wine perfectly when places in the neck of the decanter.
One of the best wine filters in the market
I took a chance with this and it really paid off. I love the way it is designed and the two-piece concept which works very well especially for wines with a high level of sediments. You can pour into a decanter through the filter normally and there is little to no spillage which is great. The quality of the material has far exceeded my expectation as well.I would highly recommend it to any wine lover.very happy with what I have.
Useful Dual Purpose Wine Gadget
This is a well made product that does a good job for either aerating a young wine to bring out its full flavour and/or filtering out sediment in older wines that have been laid down for longer periods. There have been some negative comments about the very fine filter used for trapping sediment which tends to clog easily. However the sediment thrown by an old wine always includes very fine particles such that a fine filter is necessary for this task. The answer is to follow the usual discipline of standing the bottle upright for at least an hour before decanting and then pouring carefully in one go without tilting the bottle back halfway: the sediment is then confined to the last 50ml or so. Gently rubbing the bottom of the filter with a small spatula (or clean finger!) will help the last of the wine to pass through into the decanter.A valuable tool for the serious wine lover
