We use this for a long-term treatment of whooping cough. All of my kiddos (from 9 years old to 6 months old) ended up getting it this year. My doctor actually tried to diagnose my oldest with RAD. He never even tested him for pertussis because he never had that telltale whoop. This is so much easier on the stomach than ascorbic acid!!! We have used this and the NOW brand of vitamin C. I like that the dosage for this is smaller (NOW has slightly more vitamin C per dose but is 1/2tsp instead of 1/4tsp). I mix it into the baby's food and into juice for the older kids. I even put it in my coffee in the morning and can't tell it's there at all.The only ill side effect of any vitamin C in large doses is needing to run to the bathroom. But that's how you know your system is flooded with it. In the case of pertussis, this is a good thing!This didn't just help with WC, though, for us. My youngest actually had a clogged tear duct that was getting worse instead of better. Her doctor told me that she might need to have it surgically corrected once she was a year. Within TWO DAYS of using this vitamin C, it had completely cleared up! It hasn't returned since! How many parents put their children through an unnecessary procedure when just adding more vitamin C to the diet could help??? Your doc will likely give antibiotics, which will wipe all the good gut bacteria your child has and further weaken the immune system, an inhaler (likely albuterol), and steroids. Vitamin C and essential oils have no ill side effects and actually WORK. The pertussis vaccine is not very effective, which is why we're seeing such a widespread resurgence. My dad even contracted it. He had taken everything the doctor had given him and was still coughing all night long. Once he started taking this vitamin c, within one DAY, he could tell a difference! His first dose was 17,000mg. ;)

I find that this alkalized form of vitamin C. works quite well for me. It doesn't have much of a noticeable taste when mixed in water . Being a powdered form of vitamin C, it is easy to adjust the dose depending on need.

High dose vitamin c has changed my life!!! (I'm 45).Recently I suffered with an allergy for 7 months straight. Nose either itching, running, extremely dry or I was sneezing uncontrollably (30 sneezes at a time). My nasal system was in complete disarray 24 hours a day. It was horrible. During this time we lived in three different houses with completely different environments so it was not my surroundings. I have had minor allergies my entire life but nothing no where near this.I tried every natural remedy known to man, including strict water fasting and acupressure, essential oils etc. I can usually beat any sickness without going the conventional medicine route, but I gave in and went to specialists, took antibiotics, decongestants, antihistamines (all of which I have not taken in over 10 years)...nothing worked.During this 7 month period I caught every cold around, literally got sick more in 7 months then the last 10 years. All symptoms in my nose only, no sinus pressure, nothing else. It was insane and had me questioning my immune system. I used on average a roll of toilet paper a day dealing with congestion.I had heard of mega dose Vitamin C and decided to give it a try. I took up to 40 grams a day of this Vitamin C mixed with another brand of ascorbic acid, enough to give me diarrhea. The first two days I noticed little change but on the third and fourth day I began to blow mucus out of my nose that was absolutely disgusting, nothing like I had ever seen. On the fourth night I slept with my nose completely clear and have not been congested since, over a month now.I continue to take 10 to 15 grams a day and my health has been better. I can not recommend high dose vitamin c therapy enough, it is a health game changer. Don't be scared to take mega doses, it is the only way to get therapeutic benefits.
