About this item:
Classic Medical Stockings, Thigh-high style, firm support for men and women. Designed to help relieve leg fatigue, uncomfortable swelling and mild to moderate varicose veins. Apply first thing in the morning, prior to rising from bed if possible. Once applied, the stocking should be smooth and uniform in appearance, free from wrinkles or bunches of the fabric. NOTE: This is a medical compression garment made with elastic and spandex materials. The item is supposed to be very tight, as the tightness treats heath conditions in blood pooling and veins under the skin. The customer needs to follow the directions and see certified fitter. This is a medical device.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comfortable, great support
I've been wearing 30-40 support pantyhose for 12 years for lymphedema and can no longer stand the tight waist, so thought I'd try these. Although my measurements would indicate a size small, I got a size medium because of reviews saying how tight they were. Also wanted them to come to the top of my thighs, which a medium does, I'm 5'6" 104 pounds. The grippy dots work great and do not set off my latex allergy. These get the job done quite well and are fairly easy to get on, I have bone on bone arthritis in hands which makes the 30-40s almost impossible to get on. I'm glad I found these.
5.0 out of 5 stars I have tried MANY compression socks/stockings. These are one of THE BEST!
I had a very extensive DVT blood clot a few months ago and I have tried compression socks/stockings with different features. More compression. Less compression. Toeless. With a toe. These were the first that had the silicon dots at the top of them to keep them from slipping. These were also the first ones that went all the way up my thigh (I'm a short man - 5'2").My issue with most of my other compression garments is that they would barely go above the knee, and then fall down a bit. With my condition, I felt my PTS (post-thrombotic syndrome) more when the compression didn't go above the knee. This product does not fall down. This product doesn't feel weird at the toe (that happened with other toeless compression socks/stockings). I also think they look pretty good. And the compression is pretty good as well, although it doesn't feel as strong as the compression does in my other 20-30mmHg compression socks. If you have experience putting on compression garments, these are not that difficult to put on, although if you are new to them this may be difficult at first. And given that these have the thickness more like tights, I do worry a little about the longevity of these. But with everything, I am very grateful for this product. It's well made and it is comfortable to wear. And they don't fall down! Yay!
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent for the Price
I bought these for post-foam sclerotherapy on my leg. They are supportive but I feel they should be a bit more snug. The stocking does not roll down which is a plus but the top of the stocking frayed after wearing for only one day.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sheer and good fit
I like these. Somewhat sheerer than most making them a bit easier to put on. I still got the right compression needed for completed vein work. Nothing was said negatively at dr officr about them either when the med tech helped me with them. I use them under my pants and exercise pants and its difficult for anyone to detect. I can't say they are uncomfotrtable ... because they are not, but am definately ready to take them off at the end of the day. They also help keep legs warm during the cold winter months as an added bonus and they wash well. Like the color.
5.0 out of 5 stars Needed following knee replacement…Perfect for recovery!
Recommended by my Orthopedist to help with swelling after my total knee replacement. Fit extremely tightly…but works like a champ. If you have a hard time putting them on, use the plastic bag tip!
3.0 out of 5 stars Not color fast.
These fit well and do the job. They’ve worked well and haven’t slid down my thigh post Venus insufficiency treatment. I hand washed them and noticed that they are not color fast. I wouldn’t wear them with light colored pants or sit on a light colored surface or wash them with other clothing. It also concerns me to wear an item right next to my skin, that could bleed dye if I perspire. I think this needs to be corrected by the manufacturer. They do stay in place, and they do provide good support, and they seem to be well constructed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what PT asked for
My physical therapist told me I needed a compression sock to help with swelling in my knee after surgery. I ordered a medium, they are not that difficult to get on or off. This sock has done an amazing job for me so far. It stays in place and has reduced swelling. I'm glad I ordered it.
4.0 out of 5 stars These are the best for me but...
So I have limphadema and these are an important daily garment. When I 1st started having to wear these I purchased the more expensive ones & they were great, now I'm retired and struggled to purchase them so I went on a search for something cheaper but as good. So I purchased a pair for 20.00, they were good in the compression part but always rolled down and would gather behind the knee ( no good). Now to the Truform and I've been wearing these for about 3 months now; I like that the size determination also has the length to ensure you order the right size the 1st time, these do not roll down and/or gather behind the knee, these things make them good in my book. Now the reason for the 4 stars: 1st I feel like they are not a true 20-30 mmHg and that may be due to the fact they are slightly thinner than the others also it doesn't take much for my animals to put a hole in them ( I have learned to put a throw over that leg when I'm on the couch relaxing, because that's when they get the most attention) and that solved that problem. The one thing I have noticed is they don't run that easily at the hole site. If your thinking the 20-30 is not right because of the hole that is on the upper part by the band but because of that I protect the rest of my leg & that happened from my kitty when it was off and I had it setting on a stool she decided to get on and need. I know this is alot of information but I wanted to give folks the right information to my experiences with this brand. With all of this I will still purchase this brand but I think the next time I order these I may try the 30-40 mmHg. I've been told they will be real hard to put on but I think for me the traid off is worth it to keep the lymphadema under control, these don't keep my leg from swelling bad but they are better then when I am scheduled for oncology and don't wear one. So again this brand will be my new go to brand, the price is right when I need to order another pair
As expected
Easy enough to get on. Seemed to be looser the second time I wore them.
Fits as expected.
I am a first time user of support stockings. I’m recovering from knee surgery. I knew they would be hard to put on. I followed the enclosed instructions and practiced on my good leg first. Pay attention to the instructions. It works. I fold the top down several times then pull the whole thing inside out just to the heel. Get the fit right on the foot and heel. Then slide the rest up. Not bad at all. I have been using one at a time so I can wash one out by hand and use the other. I have no complaints. Fits well as far as I know. My leg measures on the borderline between l and xl. I went with xl. I don’t know if it should feel tighter but this stays up and I can tolerate the pressure.
