5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff actually works.
I was skeptical because I have used so many products in the past that have claimed to fix problems and they did not. This stuff actually works good. My 25 year old car refused to shift into high gear so I decided to try this stuff. I used a pump and sucked out some transmission fluid, so when I added the Lucas I would not over fill the transmission. The transmission started to work better right away, but it does say to give it a couple hundred miles to work fully. The more I drive it the better it gets but this is just prolonging the inevitable. If you have a newer car and you have the money to fix your transmission then don't go this route. But if you have an older car like mine that isn't worth a $3,000 to $5,000 rebuild, then use the Lucas transmission fix. I don't know how long this stuff will prolong the life of my transmission but I will update this review with any changes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Transmission solution
Transmissions are danged if you do, danged if you don't. Fluid should be changed on a regular basis but then as you start to have an excess of mileage it comes down to the do it yourself fluid change can cause deposits to come loose affecting the transmission as well. Our Grand Prix with 130,000 + miles had just started to slip from time to time. Fluid was full and was a good color. Put this transmission fix in to see what would happen and immediately the slipping went away. 3 weeks later, still doing great. It may not fix your problem, but it fixed ours. I decided to try this as I use Lucas products in my gas fill-ups and Lucas have always been a reputable product.
5.0 out of 5 stars It really works!
If you have an older vehicle and the transmission is shifting hard or slipping, this product can help reduce those problems and get more out of your transmission.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked for this skeptical pilot - now with update 2 years later
***Update 2 years later***Pathfinder was sold a few months ago, the transmission would noticeably for a second or two around 65-70mph once every few weeks. Keep in mind, this is a transmission that was slipping every 30 seconds before application. No leaks.Even more miraculous, my 126k mile 1983 Volvo 240 DL automatic was shuddering/slipping between 1st and 2nd 80% of shifts. It was fine in every other gear. The transmission had been flushed and refilled with full synthetic Royal Purple Type F tranny fluid 2,000 miles before this got really bad. (yes it took type F originally) Overfilling the fluid level helped a little bit, but was not a solution. I was just about to replace it with a salvage unit, when I decided to give Lucas another try. I vacuumed up the excess and 24 ounces of fluid through the filler tube before adding with a MityVac. I let the bottle sit in near boiling water for 30 minutes and it was still a chore squeezing it out at a steady rate. Didn't notice anything for 3 days over the course of 40 miles, but on day 4 the transmission shifts as good as new!**Original review**Bottom line up front:Fixed slipping in 3 gears within 15minutes of application.1999 Pathfinder with 13k miles on rebuilt tranny. 1000 miles ago started to notice a little slip up from 1st to 2nd. I use it for offroad fishing trips as well as towing 1500lb pop-up camper. Commonly slipped at 27mph, 37mph, and 67mph. I test the limits of helicopters for a living, so I'm very tuned to changes in rpm and speed.I drained 24 ounces of tranny fluid, which was still quite clean looking.Tip: You MUST warm up this bottle like baby formula in the hottest water possible below boiling. Take your time. Otherwise you might get cramps squeezing this ruby red goop into that filler neck.I cycled every gear in front of my house, let it warm up a bit, and drove at idle speed out to a nearby country road. In the first 15 minutes I accelerated from zero to 60 as gradually as possible over and over. Had a total of 3 slips, instead of the usual 1 every 30seconds.Drove the Pathfinder this morning to work, good as new.

Lucas has always been a quality product. Works as intended, keeps temperature down in your transmission
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked on my 04 odyssey
My 2004 Honda odyssey trans started whining and slipping through all gears. Did a 3 drain and fill of trans fluid. After first two drains, I thought I totally screwed up trans. Slipped and whined to point I was ready to sell with bad trans cheap. Added this treatment after 3rd drain and after driving 25 miles, the trans started shifting through all gears. I’m impressed. It made a big difference to the shifting. I bought this van new and now it has 307,000 miles. My family wants it gone but it can’t let it go. I’ll keep driving until trans finally quits shifting.
