About this item:
Motor oil is made from crude oil and is used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity, the higher the number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold weather (Winter or "W") performance. This oil has a weight of SAE 40, meaning it has a single SAE viscosity rating of 40 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle. This oil is fully synthetic, meaning crude oil is not used in making it. Synthetic oil can be used in vehicle engines instead of motor oils refined from crude oil, and often provides superior mechanical performance over traditional motor oil, including increased gas mileage and reduced engine wear at extreme temperatures. Its complex method of production means it can often cost more than conventional motor oil. I have been using this brand of motor oil for the past 2 years, and believe me: it is really, really great oil! My car is very satisfied with the performance that the oil provides. I will never use another brand as this oil provides all that you need in a motor oil. I even use the their lubricating grease for my ball joints and essential grease fittings on my car. Great stuff and worth every penny. Also, does not break down easily in viscosity, and I also notice that the oil stays clean until my next oil change!!!!

If you want your motor last over 200k miles put the best oil in it, this oil is the best I have used it for years now and all my cars never had any motor problems fact is they run as good as new, so you care about your car lasting long then use this oil. Lubricant great

This is one of the best synthetics I have used and now the only one I will use. You will need to get another quart usually to complete the oil change .I can say this is a great product.However, The issues is I used to get it at Bolo now is cheaper at the parts store like 30%Shop around before you purchase

After switching to royal purple, I didn't notice any difference at all with the car after the first oil change. BUT When I did the second oil change, lol, I had a new car!! Everything smoothed out and got soo quiet. Do 4k to 5k mile for the first oil change, to clean the engine real good. And with the second oil change do 4k - 5k. You gonna be shocked the night and day difference after using royal purple oil, guaranteed

Is it the best? I don’t know. Does it meet the minimum specifications by the manufacturer my vehicle? Absolutely. At the price point of the same or slightly less than other high-end oils, this is my oil of choice and it has not let me down throughout the years. I have run this in my diesel trucks, Minivans, suburbans, you name it. I typically go around 12,000 miles between each oil change or about to a year. I end up spending much less than I would at the shop to get the oil changed and at least I know what I’m putting in versus what they tell me they put in or what they actually put in at the dealership or shop

Penzoil full synthetic use to be an excellent product for over a decade but as of 8 years now it gone down drastically in quality. I have a 2012 Honda cr-v with close to 250000 miles on it. About 8 years now, I noticed that my car’s fuel efficiency was getting worse and I was burning oil to where I had to add a quart before the next oil change. I researched Google and there where many other car owners having the same issue. One of them said that he changed to Royal Purple and his car was back to being fuel efficient and not burning oil. So I paid more for it and checked it out. He was right! My Honda is back to being as fuel efficient as when I bought it brand new and I don’t have to add any oil between my 12000 mile oil change. Yes! 12000 miles. I recommend you try it out. I hope that Penzoil get the message and improve their product.
