Bought it to replace the fuel pump in my '79 Ford F100 with the 302 engine. The old one had given up the ghost and I bought a different brand (Delphi) pump from my local parts store. I installed that one and leaked straight out of the box. Returned that one and bought the Carter pump from Bolo, had it in two days, and worked perfectly. I did have to install a brass washer to fix the seal to the flange for the fuel line that goes to the carb but definitely a better quality product than the Delphi. Spend the extra money to get the Carter, it's worth it.

Does the job fine on my '78 ford 302 V8 ...no leaks ...pressure good ....no drain back from carb to tank...does all I can ask.....price is Great!

Installed mid September 2024. Car started and ran fine at the time. Fuel pressure gauge was showing 10 psi. The car sat till today Nov 21. Its an old Mustang that doesnt get driven much. Started and idled fine for about 30 seconds then stalled. Got out and found fuel pouring out the carb. Fuel pressure gauge was pegged at 15psi. Released all the pressure and gauge returned to 0 psi. Pump is no good. Put my 20 year old Holley pump back and and it runs fine and holds 7psi.

The pump started leaking oil, badly, after installing. It leaks out the little weep hole.
