5.0 out of 5 stars Good product for the price
I towed a chevy S10 from California to Colorado behind a 36’ft motorhome with no problems or issues I was nervous at first but it pulled straight and true the whole way there and back ! Good product
5.0 out of 5 stars Great tow bar, works as intended. Would suggest to a friend.
Works as intended. I don't tow with it often but when I do it's great. Due to how often I tow I couldn't justify a $900 tow bar that the dealer wanted to sell me. This works great. I attach it to the car first then the hitch of the motor-home without issue. I Can even do it solo.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super easy to hook up
Super easy to hook up! Price was perfect!(Towing a 2016 malibu with a blue ox base plate ) half the cost of an RV dealer ship!
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny
Quality, heavy gauge steel. Made my last system seem so inadequate.
3.0 out of 5 stars Solid, quality equipment but...
Wish I had used this before the return date expired. It looked good. We tried it on the car and it fit. After the first two, though, I wanted to return but it was too late. After towing, when you go to disconnect, there is too much tension on the bar and it is hard to disconnect. It takes two of us, one in the car trying to go back and forth to release tension and the other trying to pop the front off the ball. Wish I had known, I would have spent the extra money on one with the shocks on either side of the bar. According to other towers, that would solve the problem. It is just a design flaw with any of the tow bars that do not have shocks. Also, it does not fold up and lock into place. My fault, I thought it was a feature that it would have and never thought about checking it. In hindsight, find one with shocks and is lockable in the up position. I'll be selling mine used and then buying another one. : (
5.0 out of 5 stars Works
Good tow bar. Ive had one for years sold the old one with a previous tow car. This one for the new tow car.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to my Blue Ox base plate.
The price was right and it gets the job done. It can be lifted and tied back to move the car short distances.
3.0 out of 5 stars The bar does what it's supposed to do with one ...
The bar does what it's supposed to do with one warning. I had the passenger side disconnect from the towed vehicle. The other side was also almost out. The retaining pin was gone as was the little snap pin that is supposed to keep it from working out of the hole. The little pin was gone on the other side and the retaining pin was wedged in place. It appears that the force exerted in towing sheared the little snap pins allowing the retaining pin to work its way out. I had substantial front end damage to the toad and had to also have the base plate replaced. I am still using the bar but am now securing it with bolts with plastic insert lock nuts instead of the two pin system.
