5.0 out of 5 stars Bluegill and Crappie love them!
I recently tried the Berkley PowerBait Crappie Nibbles Dough Fishing Bait and was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. As an avid angler, I'm always on the lookout for bait that not only attracts fish but keeps them hooked, and this product delivered on both fronts.Pros: Strong Scent Attracts Fish: The potent scent of the PowerBait Crappie Nibbles is irresistible to crappie and other panfish. It consistently drew bites throughout my fishing trip. Easy to Use: The dough consistency makes it simple to mold onto hooks or jigs without mess. It stays securely in place, even in strong currents. Long-Lasting: Unlike live bait, these nibbles stay on the hook for multiple casts, saving time and ensuring more time spent fishing rather than re-baiting. Versatile: While designed for crappie, I found it effective for other panfish like bluegill and perch as well. This versatility makes it a must-have in any angler's tackle box.Cons: Can Dry Out: If left exposed to air for extended periods, the bait can dry out. However, storing it properly in a sealed container or bag solves this issue.Overall, Berkley's PowerBait Crappie Nibbles exceeded my expectations. It's a reliable choice for anyone targeting crappie or similar fish species. Whether you're a beginner or seasoned angler, this bait is worth trying out for its effectiveness and ease of use.I highly recommend adding this to your fishing arsenal—you won't be disappointed!
5.0 out of 5 stars So much better than live bait
Not more effective than live bait, but effective enough considering i can throw these in my boat and leave them forever.
4.0 out of 5 stars Falls off unfortunately
It’s a great product idea to avoid dealing with warms and allIt has a distinct smell that attracts the fishIt’s small yet big enough to put in the hook however it can fall off while casting
5.0 out of 5 stars Great bait
I really like these baits, all I do is put one small piece on a tiny hook and bobber and I easily catch fish, caught 64 last trip on the white and pink colors. Very affordable stays on the hook good able to catch 2 or 3 fish on one sometimes good durability and good smell.
3.0 out of 5 stars Seems alright, just doesn’t stay on at all.
I’ll give it 3 stars since the fish love it but man does it not like to stay on the hook at all. It’s quite easy to use and all but just wish it wasn’t as pliant so it could stay on the hook longer.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bait I've Ever Used for Smaller Fish.
The Chartreuse Crappie Nibbler Powerbait, was amazing, the fish shown were in a murky low vis pond, caught with just hook, drop shot and bobber on a 6lb test line spinning reel. Went back to the same place days later, and caught another 25+ (lost count) and missed the strike on another maybe 15 since the bait gone. The bait even stays on the hook very well for a couple cast, and my bait is almost a year old showing it's longevity. It's the best bait you can use for smaller fish.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works really good
Have caught crappie small saugeye blue gill and small catfish I would pair the bait with a jig
5.0 out of 5 stars Defiantly makes a difference
I started using these several years ago after someone told me about them. My favorite way to use them is take a lead jig hook & tie it onto your line or leader, put a black and chartreuse tube jig on then take a Crappie Nibble and put it on the tip of the hook. I then let it free fall to the bottom (We fish in about 20 - 30 ft of water) and slowly reel up. You will feel a hard thump of a crappie taking the jig into its mouth and that's when you set the hook. Since the Crappie Nibbles are quite soft, they do not effect the hookset whatsoever, which is nice. Like someone else stated in their review, if you leave the lid off they will firm up a bit. While we still catch fish without the nibbles, they defiantly result in more bites when we use them. Enough so that I buy them yr after yr & that's saying something because I won't waste my money on products that don't work. I should also state that I have only used the chartreuse colors. Good luck & tight lines!
