WOODEN WALKING CANE BENEFITS
WOODEN WALKING STICK FEATURES:
How to Properly Size a Cane
Wearing your shoes, naturally stand upright. Put your arms to your side with a natural bend at the elbow. Have someone measure the distance from your wrist joint to the floor. This is the height at which to set your cane. If you don’t have someone to measure for you, convert your height to inches, divide by two and add a half-inch to this height.

5.0 out of 5 stars awesome cane
About the sticker: I don't know why everyone is compaining. I was able to remove the sticker in one piece without leaving a sticky mess. One simply has to remove it SLOWLY. After removing the sticker I was able to remove the glue that was stuck to the cane by rubbing it with my fingers. Honestly it took me more time to remove the glue from my fingers than the cane itself. While I understand that people want to attack the offending sticker, as the old saying goes, haste makes waste. The actual cane is heavier than I assumed, so I think it will be more than sturdy enough for me. It;s good looking, too. Good purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars 5 star value
For the price this is a fantastic value. I was looking at some specialized canes that cost 10 times as much but wasn’t convinced I would actually like using a cane so I decided to give this a try. It came well packaged but with minimal product information - no details of where it was made or what type of wood. About the only significant detail that I can remember was that somewhere it listed 250 pounds as the weight limit. A lot of people give advice on how to remove the two stickers that come on the cane. I just scratched them off with my fingernails. The finish is tough and wasn’t damaged. And although there was a little residue, after about a week the exposure to some humidity allowed my to rub the sticky off. Length wise this cane is right about 36”. I think that is perfect for anyone about 6’ tall or shorter as it would be easy enough to remove the rubber tip, cut to length, and replace the tip if you need a shorter cane. A quick note on the tip. I looked it up the listed name, it is a NEV-A-SLIP rubber tip with a metal insert. I think that is where the confusion in the item description comes from the metal inset. The metal is in the rubber tip, not the wooden shaft. Also, although the cane is solid hardwood, it is not hickory. I did some carving on the cane and it appears to be some type poplar wood with an added hickory stain and light varnish. I’m just under 6’2” so it isn’t a perfect length for me, but as I stated earlier I just wanted to carry it around and see how I liked having an extra accessory. Additional, I ended up adding an inside horn cut as the hook was not wide enough to comfortably do the old Charlie Chaplin swing prior to the modification. Ultimately this cane has been a great companion on my daily hikes through some single track trails behind my neighborhood. I often swing it in front of me to clear out spiderwebs. Also I have run into some folks walking their dogs off leash and the old crotch sniffers instinctively give me more comfortable spacing. Eventually I will upgrade to an expensive oak or hickory cane but for now I am more than happy with this cane.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Cane!! And Don't Panic about the ABSURD adhesive stickers!! There is a rather easy solution-----
The cane is nice and perfect for my needs. It is a simple and plain wooden cane (which I prefer), and certainly lives up to its advertising. Actually, it is attractive and extremely sturdy! The stained finish is just right. And the price is fantastic. The one main concern that I noticed from many reviewers (and experienced myself) was regarding the two rather large adhesive "product" stickers on the cane itself. True, they are adhered VERY VERY VERY VERY strong and snug to the cane and will not simply peel off without damaging the wood and/or stain. Almost like a "paper tattoo" on wood!! That is primarily why I rated this 4-stars instead of 5-stars.But I read from another buyer that he had used "goof-off" and a paper towel to solve that problem. He was right! So I used my always trusty goof-off as well, along with my fingernails and a paper towel--and after several minutes of intense heavy scrubbing and using multiple paper towels, the stickers and the adhesive were completely removed without any permanent damage to the cane or the stain (OR my extremely fragile nerves!!).I am a little surprised that the suppliers would even attach such super-strong stickers to the wooden cane in the first place--at least ones that took such special dedicated effort to remove. This is especially true given all the negative comments regarding that one single problem by MANY other buyers/reviewers. If I were the seller, I would start listening to my customer base more. But after I read and used the "goof-off" trick, everything is now ok. Maybe a hint from the sellers to the buyers up front about that solution might make things a lot easier for everyone. My thanks to the other reviewers who shared this solution and got me past a very maddening start!! Otherwise the cane is just what I wanted and needed. Now I can once again race along the floor just like the champion long-distance runner I always imagined myself to be, but NEVER WAS!! (HA! Getting old doesn't stop the dreams, does it??)

5.0 out of 5 stars Kris Kringle's Cane
Purchased this as a prop for a "Mircle on 34th Street" movie themed luncheon. It's perfect! Very pleased with my purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cane
Looks good. Feels good. Works well.
5.0 out of 5 stars Well made
The price is well worth the quality. I have a collection including a 100 dollar solid oak. I find this is the one that I take automatically when leaving the house. I am 5'8" and I cut about 4" off the end. Not a big deal, it fits comfortably.
Very solid and stable
Very solid cane. I don't just use it for balance either .... I put a lot of weight on it and use it for support while walking and standing. Easy to cut to size and the its a nice grainy piece of wood too.
Very solid and sturdy!!
Very pleased with the cane!
A bargain compared to others of equal quality
I weigh 235lbs and this cane is plenty strong enough for me. The handle is a little small for my extra large hands but does allow a comfortable three finger grip. I am 5'9" and the length was sufficient enough that I had to cut off about two inches. The rubber end piece is good quality and provides good grip on most surfaces. My best guess would be that the wood is ash stained to appear like walnut. The finish seems thin and I don't expect it to last long but may result in a very nice patina. Overall a very good deal and quite a nice looking cane in my opinion.
bon achat, mais trouve un peu chère
pas de regret , solide se tien bien, en commerce impossible de trouver se produit, alors probablement la raison que il soit un peu chers, mais pas de regret
