5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, reservoir could be a bit bigger
still works fine
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for motorcycles, I wouldn't use for a car
I used this to replace and bleed the brake fluid on my motorcycle. It worked great for that purpose. I stuck the magnet to the brake rotor. The bottle is small. For a motorcycle with relatively short brake lines, there isn't a lot of fluid to bleed out to remove the air so the small bottle is fine. If pushing a lot of fluid out for a car was needed, this small bottle would get annoying real fast.
4.0 out of 5 stars Solid little kit but not perfect.
This is a solid little kit, and despite having quite hard plastic in the tips, it actually sealed well.It is very small however. If you need to flush or do a major bleed such as after replacing all hard lines, it will be full in no time as the bottle is very small. This is clearly intended for a caliper swap or smaller/basic bleeds. The hoses are a shorter than I wish they were, but I made it work. The magnet in it is fairly weak also. Itll hold to flat sheet metal but anything else it struggles with, and the hardness/memory of the hoses will cause it to pop off.I can recommend it though, it helped me get the job done.
3.0 out of 5 stars Case is useless
The price is right, but the case is basically useless. The main reservoir which uses a cap with fittings sticking out on each end does not fit in it's designated location. The fittings stick out too much, and does not fit nicely inside the case.At first I thought this was the problem with why I could not latch the case closed, but no...The latches are poorly designed, so they interfere with the case closing properly!OEMTOOLS normally does a nice job with their cases, so this was a big head-scratcher...The sticker that identifies the contents just peels right off - it's not designed to stick to this type of plastic. On top of that, the (colored) sticker is used on the BOTTOM of the case...WHAT?The case is already embossed on top, but since there is no color contrast, it's very hard to read.Well, if you're going to use it a lot, you'll get used to it, right? We are talking about tools...right?So, items are functional, but the case is just a waste of time...
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well for vacuum bleeding power steering
I bought this kit hoping one of the two adapters would fit on my power steering reservoir and one did. I recently replaced the power steering pump, high pressure hose and the steering rack on my 2016 GMC Acadia and the new pump was noisy after multiple attempts to bleed the system by turning the wheel from lock to lock. I bought this kit since I already had a hand vacuum pump (pump is NOT included with this kit) and figured I would try it. It definitely helped as the pump is quieter but not dead silent like it should be. There is a good chance the pump I got is defective and should probably be warrantied out. If that is the case this kit will be needed again. As far as using it to bleed and/or flush the brake fluid, you get three different attachments with the kit so it should cover most bleeder screws on calipers. I could see this working well to remove a stubborn air bubble trapped in a caliper but for a full on flush and bleed, the two person method or pressure bleeding from the master cylinder will work better. Gravity bleeding is also an option if you aren’t in a hurry.Nice little container, plenty of clear hose and an extra o-ring seal is included for the cap on the container. The power steering reservoir adapters are worth the $20 for this kit alone.
1.0 out of 5 stars Not impressed with content or quality
I realize that this is not a high tech instrument but quality is disappointing.First, upon opening one of the cups was partially crushed making it useless. The reason for the damage is that the hole for it in the blow molded storage case is not big enough to accept the cup. Making is sketchy right out of the box.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works Perfect
This one man bleeder worked just as it should. Do not believe the bad reviews. I bled my 2012 Nissan Frontier calipers that I had just replaced and had no problems. The kit arrived fast and all I needed to do was trim the 45 degree angles to a 90 degree on both ends of the clear hose. Push the correct green nozzle INTO your bleeder valve after you backed it off a few turns. Be sure to attach the clear drain bottle with magnet +6” above the caliper and leave the cover off of your master cylinder until finished. Start pumping the brake pedal, 2-3 times, check the clear hose and watch all the air bubbles going UP the clear hose to the drain bottle, pump the brake pedal 2-3 mores, top off master cylinder as needed. Continue until the clear hose has no bubbles, tighten bleeder valve, remove equipment, top off brake fluid to MAX, call it a day. Best $8 ever spent.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great kit and worth it when on sale.
No complaints from me. I specifically bought this kit to bleed the power steering system on my 4th Gen RAM 3500 after repairs. It's difficult to get the air out any other way with the hydrobooster, and the single Mopar bleeding adapter is more than double the cost of this set. The narrow cone fit the reservoir perfectly and I was able to easy maintain a vacuum to specification. Totally worth it to me. As for the complaint about the blow-molded case not holding the ported lid for the cup, that's true but is fixed simply by taking a flat file to the end of the ports. One stroke of the file to each port to remove a little material was all it took to snap into the case. Where this kit really shined is when I used it to bleed the hydrogears on my zero-turn mower after changing the filters and fluid!
Mal
Porque no es un tamaño grande esta super pequeño y para la función no sirve
Funciona bien
Lo utilicé para purgar bomba de la dirección hidráulica de una ford expeditión 2012, necesitas aparte la bomba de vacio
Great tool.
My steering was noisy when turning due to an air lock in the system. With this tool, I was able to rectify the issue and I am now a happy driver. Great tool and very easy to use. Wish it could come bundled with a handheld vacuum pump. I had to buy that separately. However, I like the quality of this product and seller was also quick to ship. Whole transaction was smooth. I would recommend buying from this seller.
Great product
Great product but I wish if the bottle was bigger.Loved the little magnet which is really handy.
Essential for brake job
Needed to bleed brakes after changing. Works well. Hose is a little stiff and bottle a bit small but works well for the job.
