5.0 out of 5 stars Best Seat

This is the ultimate bike seat for those who travel long distances. it is actually comfortable and there isnt anything between my legs that isnt supposed to be there. This is the best bike seat i have ever had.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saves my, um, bits, in ANY riding posture - have used mine on an exercise bike for six years

According to Bolo, I bought this Schwinn noseless comfort seat in December of 2015, and am just now (April 2021) buying another because there was a killer deal plus a coupon so I wanted to have a spare stashed. For the last few years, I've ridden my exercise bike (Schwinn 126) an hour every morning, 18-19 miles in crosstraining mode at 13/16 resistance - but it took me a while to work up to that. So, after nearly six years of steady use at increasing lengths of time and intensity, the old seat is just now starting to show its age. The vinyl is starting to crack a bit at the front, not all the way through, just that top layer, a shallow network of small cracks. I'm thinking that the foam is probably pretty beat down by now too, but it's still comfortable. Honestly, if the deal hadn't come up, I wouldn't have given a thought to replacing it yet. The bike is indoors, right next to a large window that's nearly always open, so that's exponentially more sun exposure than a bike seat that lives in the garage or hallway. The advice from others to position the seat a bit further back than usual correlates with my experience. Also, you can ignore that diagram showing that this style of seat is most appropriate for an upright or slightly bent over riding posture; I ride in every position from standing on the pedals and upright to full-on crouch, and this seat works fine. In fact, for me, the comfort aspect of a noseless seat is even more pronounced in full crouch/grind/beast mode.I think this seat is what helped me increase my rides, because I remember climbing off the old seat after a workout and going to the bathroom and WOW did that hurt, like "do I have kidney stones" kind of fire. Haven't had that since I got this seat, although I've experienced it a few times when I've ridden an actual bike with a typical bike seat for a half day or so. Maybe I'm just tender down there, it sure as heck ain't extraordinary proportions.A noseless bike seat DOES take some getting used to. Among other things, because there's no central nose, once your butt reaches the front edge you could slip off. If you take your hands off the handlebars, it may take a bit more core stability to keep from sliding too far forward. I think at one point I adjusted the tilt to prevent slipping forward, but that was a long time ago.Bottom (ha!) line: this is my ideal bike seat, proven by my buying a second before the first one wore all the way out just to make sure I'd have one on hand.

4.0 out of 5 stars Different and alright but could be better

Bought this for use on a Joroto brand stationary bike and had no problem installing it. This is the second seat I've tried on the bike other than the original and both have their pros and cons. For this one, I do love the noseless design. As someone who likes to ride sitting upright it is very nice for that while still providing enough support to lean forward for short stints. It installed very easily and the bolts secured more quickly than my first seat. I am one of those people who the nose of the bike tends to put too much pressure on sensitive areas so this noseless design is amazing and really does feel better in that regard. However, it is a bit firmer than I'd like and could be slightly bigger, maybe half an inch in either direction. Though it's an "extra wide" seat, it's a few inches narrower than my hips and I have to sit slightly off the back to feel fully supported. It also doesn't seem to be able to tilt up and down like the nosed seat I had before, which would be a nice option since it is tilted slightly forward.I love that this design is available and do feel quite comfortable for most of my less than hour long rides but there are a couple improvements I would make.

Wife loves it for her bike no more pain in her legs and rear

3.0 out of 5 stars Bought this to replace an awful, hard, skinny mountain bike seat! Would it work?

    T. · May 15, 2021

This seat isn’t the best, nor the worst. I’d honestly rate this 3.5 stars. I’m stuck in the middle. I expected more comfort. I was on the fence.. return or not return? Here’s the story. My husband bought me a new bicycle for spring. I ordered one here, but delivery was a nightmare, damages occurred, so we got one that came assembled elsewhere. It’s a mountain bike, and the seat was insanely narrow and uncomfortable to sit on. I literally had bruising on my upper thighs and pain ‘down under’, after one day of use with my kids.I have a cruiser, but I wanted a mountain bike for camp trails, greater speed, and to also pull my huskies using the bike tow leash I have. You can’t use that with a cruiser bike. You need something more rugged. Despite its good looks, the seat that came with that bike, it HAD to go! It was God awful. This seat seemingly has a gazillion reviews, many positives, and it fit the bill, matched my bike and would allow me to sit up straighter, which is what I want. Like a hybrid mountain bike/ cruiser in one. Cruisers sit you upright and are less taxing on bad backs like my own.So, the verdict? It DID fit my mountain bike. That was a plus, because that I was uncertain about. Do i slide a bit forward using this seat? A bit. The front piece AKA ‘the bulge’ in front of the seat makes it a bit uncomfortable ‘down under’, but not close to as bad as the other mountain bike seat was. I honestly wish it wasn’t there. I don’t know why it’s there.I hope I can raise up the handle bars a bit so it helps with that issue. I’m not sure if that would still be an issue on a cruiser bike, but it might since none of my cruisers ever had that bulge there at the seat like that. I’d think for a boy that would be even less comfortable, but who knows? That’s purely speculation. In conclusion, the bike seat is attractive against the white color of my new bike. It’s wider to sit on and slightly softer. Not as soft as expected though. I was thinking it would be like a real soft, memory foam feeling fit, but it’s not nearly as comfy as that. I don’t know if this seat has memory foam in it. It’s possible, but if so, I really don’t feel that kind of comfort, like a cozy pair of slippers that hug your feet with an insane amount of comfort. This, by far, isn’t that kind of comfort, but a step up from a rock hard seat, it most certainly is, and the wide bottom on a mountain bike is a pretty cool option. I’ve gotten no bruising since, which is telling. That was just awful without it.So yeah, I do like this seat, but it’s not nearly as good / comfortable, as my expensive cruiser bike seats are. I guess since I have those to compare them too, I could be slightly bias. Maybe if I didn’t have that to compare it to, I’d be a bit more impressed by this seat, but it’s OK! It keeps me safe down below, and hopefully, if I can lift the handlebars, I’ll be even more comfortable.Better with than with the former. That’s for darned sure. I hope you found my review to be helpful :)).*ps- the seat is a Schwinn seat and the bike is of that same brand- just for reference.*

    Good seat.

This seat is really comfortable. I strapped it to a spin bike and it is way nicer on the neathers than the regular seat that came with the bike...

Il manque une piece… impossible de l’utiliser

    S.P. · May 17, 2024

Il manque la piece C qui doit etre en double mais il n’y en a qu,une… donc impossible de le monter !!!

    Amazing

    M. · October 17, 2023

I was so impressed with this seat. My bike already came with a "comfort" seat but I found it narrow and hard. I bought one of the cushioned covers but it still didn't feel good.Lo and behold that having a seat that actually fits your whole butt on it makes a HUGE difference. This is so comfy without even being that cushiony, it just fits properly and supports all your backside.Easy to install as well.

    Life changer!!!

    K.S. · January 1, 2025

Changed my bicycle rides completely. Have a large posterior that’ not very saddle friendly - anything near the 1 hr mark was a literal pain in the you know what. This seat changed that completely- I am using it on my hybrid bike and now ride 3 hrs no worries! Worth it.

Belle selle de vélo mais pas confortable.

Je ne recommande pas cette selle. Elle a l'air confortable mais elle ne l'est pas.Au final j'ai dû la changer.
