Firstly I'd like to address the negative reviews. Some of the reviews show screws going through the base/foot stand area. This is an assembly error. There are 5 shorter screws that attach the base to the stand. Don't use the long screws they may go through if forced. The 4 long screws are for the handle to stand connection.Some reviews showed the handle wouldn't fit the base stand too attach, it wasn't wide enough. This is also an assembly error.As you can see in my photo's the stand is rectangular in shape. Be sure to put the pieces with the holes on the same end (short side) rather than the long side. I almost made that mistake simply not paying attention.This has been extremely helpful for my mother. Its very sturdy.. note the sturdiness comes from the balance of weight so standing on or stepping one foot on before pulling on the hand brace keeps you steady.Its an excellent and most helpful product. Great for many uses.Stepping to reach higher up.Getting into a higher vehicle where running boards still maybe too high.So many uses.I truly recommend this for hurt legs or feet cast users and older people that just need a little step up.Instructions are clear it's easy to assemble. If used for a vehicle it easily fits into the back floorboard.

Exactly as described, and it’s really sturdy! I bought it to help my elderly parents get in and out of my guest shower. My dad was concerned about the stool not being big enough to step on properly. I took a picture with my foot on it. It’s definitely big enough. I wear a size 10 in women’s, so that should give you an idea. This is a really great product!

Overall, its sturdy but you must remember to step one foot up onto it before touching the handrail. The short screws are for the base and the long screws are for attaching the handrail. The wrench they include is worthless. You need a 10 mm wrench with a round closed end. The Criss cross base was the hardest to assemble because they use lock nuts, you need one hand to hold the Phillips head screwdriver to keep screw from moving, one hand to tighten the nut and a third hand to keep the legs from sliding out of place as you tighten. The rest of the assembly is relatively easy.

I use this stool in my Reiki studio to help people get on and off a massage table. I like the handle. This has a sturdy platform and doesn't rock when you step on it. Very useful and handy!

We love this little stool. I can actually reach upper shelves and feel safe now. It doesnt scoot or tip and has solidly attached handle! as a senior, we hate heavy ladders. And this easy to lift solid little stool is absolutely perfect. Ordering another for bathroom!

I used this to get in my bed, high entry, and it is very sturdy, rubber platform, handle strong and sturdy. I still use it as it is a great durable medical equipment piece. I would highly recommend.

I need to be able to transport my 95 year old Mom in my truck and this helped me do it. I was seriously considering buying a car, but then found this and my Mom has no problem getting in and out of my truck with this step stool. It is very sturdy and my Mom feels safe using it. So happy I found it!

Very good quality step stool.
