5.0 out of 5 stars Pain Relief for Osteoarthritis
The trick to making these work is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. (Hyaluronic acid works with water to create a natural gel-like substance that fills the joints and relieves pain.) Follow the directions on the bottle, drink plenty of water throughout the day and you should start to see some results within two weeks if you have joint pains from osteoarthritis.I started looking into joint pains when I got tired of hearing all the horror stories from my extended family and their friends regarding knee pains. I finally found out that oral hyaluronic acid can be used to treat osteoarthritis pains and is more effective than the usual glucosamine-chondroitin combo.I gave these to my mom who was skeptical of their effectiveness. They worked great and her doubt faded away quickly. The clicking sound her joints made when she walked went away. She no longer has stiffness and pain in the knee when waking up in the morning. She also started recommending it to her friends at work. Most of whom are post-menopausal and have joint pains. Usually it's knee pain. They also are amazed so much of the pain goes away. Some of them have tried various expensive over-the-counter supplements that never gave them these kinds of results. Any pain left was treated with vitamin c, d3, magnesium citrate, and omega-3 fish oil capsules, which Bolo also sells.Take a lower dose or consult your doctor if you have lymph edema, are taking blood pressure drugs, blood thinners, or taking anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aleve, acetaminophen, etc.) before taking any hyaluronic acid. Some misconceptions: Hyaluronic acid might not work on lower back pain or pain from rheumatoid arthritis since those are different conditions and are not related osteoarthritis. Research vitamin deficiency that leads to lower back pain (Methyl B-12, magnesium citrate, D3, comfrey ointment) and immune boosters for rheumatoid arthritis (D3, C, omega-3 fish oils capsules). Make sure you find info. based on the latest studies. Most of the data around the Net is based on out-dated studies with low-doses that are are usually ineffective. For more info hyaluronic acid google: oral hyaluronic acid joints healingUPDATE:For lower back pain:* Methyl B-12 Now Foods Brain B-12, 100 Lozenges / 1000mcg (Pack of 2)* magnesium citrate or magnesium malate Source Naturals Magnesium Malate, 1250 mg, Tablets, 360 tablets* Vitamin D3 at least 5,000 i.u. Life Extension Vitamin D3, 5000 IU (60 capsules)* Res-Q Ointment (Comfrey Ointment) Res-Q Ointment .6 oz or Herb Pharm Comfrey Herb Pharm Comfrey 1 oz ( Twelve Pack)For rheumatoid arthritis take immune boosters like:* Vitamin D3 at least 5,000 i.u. Life Extension Vitamin D3, 5000 IU (60 capsules)* Magnesium citrate or magnesium malate Source Naturals Magnesium Malate, 1250 mg, Tablets, 360 tablets* Omega-3 fish oil at least 2,000 mg per day Carlson Laboratories - Super Omega-3, 130 softgelsDon't let the doctors give you doses that are too low:I've been taking 5,000+ i.u. of vitamin D3 without any side effects for the past year. I get it by taking "30 Minutes of Sunshine". (Bolo does not sell it. It's at 30MinutesOfSunshine [dot] com) Others take 10,000 i.u. daily. So far, no one has died and no one has had any side effects. However, most of their rheumatoid hand pain goes away and they stop getting colds. In other words, they have great immune systems. This is why doctors want you to "be careful" with vitamins and take their dangerous drugs instead.Doctors are still recommending 400 to 4,000 i.u. for Vit. D3. That amount is for children, not adults. It takes doctors a long time to catch up to the latest studies. They get away with it because all this info. is boring to read. The Vitamin D Council's website has up-to-date info. (VitaminDCouncil [dot] org)
5.0 out of 5 stars I have been taking these supplements for 3 mos and am extremely pleased
Before I posted a review I wanted to try this supplement for a period of time to fully test it. I originally purchased Hyaluronic Joint Complex back in August, 2015 after reading many reviews. Prior to taking it I was having a lot of joint pain in my knuckles, elbows and especially my knees. I am 52 years old and was worried I would end up in a hoveround by the time I was 60. My life was becoming limited because it hurt to walk. I had tried Glucosamine Chondroitin supplements and they helped some but I was regularly taking Ibuprofen and Napoxen with them. Back in August I began taking two supplements twice a day of the Hyaluronic Joint Complex. I didn't notice much in the first few weeks but then something began to happen. I began to become more active, doing more around the house, jumping up to clean more often. I was going to the stores and not thinking about finding the closest parking spot to the door. I was no longer thinking about the aching pain all of the time. I'm not saying that it works 100% but there is a noticeable difference. I read a few reviews that said the supplements were too big to swallow. My advice would be to crush them, cut them in half, but find a way to get them down. I am extremely pleased with the supplement and in the improved quality of my life. I will post an update as I continue to take the Hyaluronic Joint Complex to let you know how it works over a longer period of time.
5.0 out of 5 stars Helps with knee pain!
Amazing stuff! I got this for my mother who has been having trouble with her left knee. She started with one tablet each day, but was still having pain, so she went to one in the morning and one at night. After a couple of weeks her left knee started feeling better. She push mowed the lawn and danced around the dance floor without any repercussions. She could even cross her right leg (the "good" knee) across her left and put on her shoe. Something she had been unable to do in years!!!! Now we are confident that she will enjoy her trip to Hawaii in a couple of weeks!😃
3.0 out of 5 stars "Tablets" Sounds Small But Make Me Sick. They Work!!
So I am 68 and my knee has begun giving out on me! It feels stiff and I did not injure it. It just began this stabbing pain if I turned it a certain way sometime after Christmas. I read the reviews on this and forgot about the word, "tablets." These things are so BIG , so HARD and , although I am able to swallow them , pills make me feel sort of nauseated. Not small ones; just horse pills like these. I will have to throw these out and will buy CAPSULES instead. I have taken 6 of these, one pill twice a day for 3 days and today my knee feels SO MUCH BETTER. I will still stop taking them since last night I got the Doctors' Best CAPSULES. But I admit to being thrilled with the overnight , dramatic improvement (so far) with this knee. I attribute it to these horse pills and am hoping the capsules work as well.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very effective although somewhat upsetting to the stomach
I have always bought Now brand Hyaluronic acid in the past and found it to be effective. However, based on another reviewer's recommendation, I decided to try this Source Naturals product out for joint issues and I must say I believe it has been very effective. I am 46 but I have had arthritis for at least 6-7 years and I play Jiu-Jitsu which doesn't help matters. My knees in particular are clearly audible when doing just about anything. After using this product I find that the pain and stiffness have diminished and I don't hear my knees nearly as much. On the down side, as the other reviewer pointed out, this product supposedly has no added flavorings whereas it does have an obnoxious peppermit smell/flavor which tends to come back to haunt me. I have very good digestion in general and for my body to have trouble digesting something means it is hard to digest. However I feel it is worth it for the help it is giving my joints. All in all I would say it is definitely worth a try, especially for the relatively moderate price. I have always been impressed with Source Naturals products in the past and this is no exception.
