This was ahead of it's time when Rado released the Diastars in 1962. First time tungsten carbide was used along with sapphire crystal for a watch face ten times harder than steel. At 35mm wide it was typical for it's time but still wears great on a smaller wrist like mine. ETA 2836-2 automatic movement should be a great timekeeper and it looks great on the Eache mesh bracelet. One that came with it is unique but hard to size versus the Eache bracelet which is one of the best available. Very happy to finally have this icon in my collection.

This watch came without being wrapped and with a blank warranty card. After owning several Rados I knew this was odd. Checked with Rado and blank warranty cards come from grey market watches. Sent it right back.
