I am a male with medium (chin) length semi-wavy thick hair. I used 20mm rollers to try and get a loose curl / surfer style wave to my hair. I just followed the instructions. I purchased 2 packs of 14 rollers, so 28 in total. This was a mistake. I ran out when I got to the back of my head. I recommend buying at least 35-40 rollers to be safe. Even with running out of rollers, I just prioritized the longest strands and still got a natural result as the waving lotion affected the texture of hair not in rollers as well to a degree. Make sure not wash your hair 2-3 days and be careful sleeping on it (I didn't) and voila. People who are around me every day thought my hair was just wavier from getting longer, so I would say it looks natural. Very happy with the result. Lots of compliments. If I realized I could have done this myself for roughly $20 total (you need to buy your own rods) I would have done it years ago.

the company needs to use a different bottle design for the heat activator. It was not closed right and there wasn't even a seal to prevent leaks. The bottle I got was near empty as the heat activator leaked out.

Everything needed was included in the box (except of course the rollers/rods. Easy to follow directions and results as expected. the extra large endpapers might be welcome to some but with my short hair and small rollers, it was an overkill. Finally had to fold them in half to usse.

I am very happy with how my perm turned out. I have been using Ogilvie perms for years, and with one exception it has always worked great. I have only had one Ogilvie perm that didn’t take and that was when I tried the Ogilvie Precisely Right Perm Professional Conditioning Fresh Scent. I will be sticking to this formula for normal hair from now on because it has always worked great. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a good at home perm kit.
