Simply Delicious! This is the absolute best Ceylon, OPA, loose leaf, black, Orange Pekoe tea I've ever tasted! No bitterness at all & I brew bold. Tea leaves are whole and unbroken, no stems and litter. It is well priced for the quantity and quality!! Happily, it is available for subscribe & save. I have discontinued buying from all other tea suppliers and will be exclusive with this tea supplier. Perfect gift for any tea lover! 3 pinches makes 12 bold cups dripped. A little goes a long way with this fresh fullbodied tea.

5.0 out of 5 stars Far better than big tea bag.

I love iced tea. I drink iced tea daily. Normally I use tea bags from one of the big tea bag manufacturers. Lipton, Salada, Red Rose etc. Usually Lipton. This has always been fine. However, my teen son has recently been learning about microplastics and urged me to stop using tea bags. (Look up tea bags and microplastics.) I reluctantly agreed and started searching for loose orange pekoe or black tea. I happened upon this ^ company on Bolo and the reviews seemed good so I gave it a try. I am so glad I did. This stuff makes some of the best iced tea I've ever had. First off the leaves are whole so its not some ground up mystery powder found in tea bags. Its a dense bag of dried tea leaves! It looks great. Smells delicious. Despite being a long time tea drinker, I am a bit of a tea novice. I've been limited to commercial tea bags, however the difference, to me, is huge. It's hard to describe. I mean, it tastes like the tea I normally drink, but way better. Fresher. Smoother. Less bitter. Without that teabag taste. It's like I can differentiate the different flavors and aromas better. They're more present. It is much better than tea bags. I'll never go back. I purchased one of those big tea brewing cans with all the holes so no microplastics. Pour into a glass pitcher then into a glass cup. I've already made it through most of the bag, I'm ordering another pound of this tea right after I right this review.Long story short, this tea is far better than any teabags I've tried.

Good, fresh, and cheaper than in most stores – even by just a few pennies. If adding the costs for time and gasoline (most stores sell only tea bags that I don't like) you $ave a LOT!

You get a lot of tea for the price. It's a bit light in both flavor and caffeine and a long steep time compared to most black teas.Because of this it's great for custom blending with herbal teas in my opinion. As the flavor doesn't overpower others and it's steep time is more flexible and forgiving so herbals can get their chance to develop.Though it's quite good on it's own. That said, don't make my mistake and not have a big enough container for it. Whole leaf's take up a lot more volume then I expected and I ended up needing two containers to keep it all in. Lol.Just tells you how much you are really getting of the stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best tea I’ve ever had

Everything about this tea is delicious. No bitterness, very aromatic, and wonderful flavor. I originally had my first Ceylon tea from a small batch grower in Sri Lanka, and I’m shocked to say that this tea matches that quality!

I always drink loose leaf tea and I wanted to try this one. No matter how much tea I used, it tasted very mild. Not too strong for my taste.

Real Orange Pekoe Tea Is Right Here Folks!I am a tea person, period! I grew up drinking Lipton tea, which was and is supposedly still an Orange Pekoe (black) tea. I loved the flavor and aroma of that tea. Over the past two to three decades or so, that flavorful and aromatic tea seemed to disappear as the demand for tea grew exponentially across the world and as laws changed with regard to what a manufacturer could actually put in their bags besides just tea leaves. Today, it's extremely difficult to find that authentic Orange Pekoe flavor. I thought I had come close with Twinnings Ceylon Orange Pekoe. It was still a crap shoot from box to box whether you would get some authentic tasting Orange Pekoe tea or not. Well, they recently repackaged their product, now calling it Ceylon black tea with orange pekoe as its ingredient. Hmmm... I can tell you that it seems more watered down and flavorless to me. So sad!And then comes, into my life, Zarrin's Pure Ceylon Tea (OPA), Special Orange Pekoe Grade A, loose-leaf tea. It's simply amazing! The flavor. The aroma. The memories of decades past sitting with a great cup of tea. I was worried that I'd never find an outstanding, or even good, cup of Orange Pekoe tea ever again. Here it is, though, in this very innocuous-looking box. Thank you, Zarrin. I guess I can die happy now. Lol.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really, really good tea.

    V. · October 14, 2019

I am on a quest to find a really good tea and this came the closest. I just ordered five different Ceylon teas from Bolo (one seller included a free sample, so it makes six) and did a side by side tasting. This one is hands down the best tea and it is the finest I had in awhile. It is not shreds, but full leaf tea. Brews great, unfurls, makes a great cup. Nice color of the brew as well. Really, checks all the columns. Very-very slightly bitter, but I prefer it this way. I am soooo happy to have found this (completely new for me) brand. And the price is fantastic too.The only minus is that the package is flimsy and the bag is so full, that I will have to put it into a different airtight container. But this is really minor in my opinion.Highly recommend, top marks.Edit: By trial and error I discovered that if you brew this tea for a slightly longer time, the results are even better. Instead of standard 3 minutes try 4.5 or even 5 minutes. The resulting taste is more rounded and better balanced. Probably because it is full leaf (extraordinary rarity our days) it takes longer to fully release the flavor. Love, love, love this tea!

I bought both OP and OPA from a tea plantation (Blue Field) in SriLanka a couple of years ago and it was definitely the best black tea I've ever had. It's supposed to have a strong buttery flavour and no bitterness at all. This is not it. This tastes like supermarket tea. I believe that for the OPA grade it has to be only the first leaf which gives the tea that fresh but rich flavour. This tasted like old and lower quality leafs. It's not quite as bitter as the powder you buy at walmart but I still feel the bitterness and no trace of the actual flavour I was expecting.
