5.0 out of 5 stars Works really well
My 7 year old gets really bad wax build up that became really hard. We used an ear cleaner with a camera but it hurt him to even touch it. I put this stuff in his ear and placed a piece of cotton ball over it to keep it from leaking. A few hours later he said “my ear is crinkling”. I didn’t know what that meant but since it was bedtime I told him I would look at it the following morning. The next morning I used the ear camera and all that wax had dissolved, kind of look like wet mushy stuff. He said his ear felt better and it didn’t bother him to get it out.
5.0 out of 5 stars Thar Goes The Nugget! Unclog Wax Buildup. Soak For 30+ Minutes, Not Just "Several Minutes."
Received on 11/13/2023. Has 02/23/2025 expiration date. From wax buildup, my left ear became clogged and my hearing became muffled. It's happened a few times over the course of my life, and it was remedied each time using the same method. Don't recall if this brand was used. The instructions state to place 5 to 10 drops, wait "several minutes," then squirt warm water with the rubber bulb to flush out the ear. "Several minutes" is a relative term. Is it 3? 5? 7? 10? How long is long enough?Well, it's like microwave popcorn. When you continue to hear multiple kernels popping in rapid succession within 3 seconds, it's not done yet. When you hear no pop or only hear a pop or two in a 5-second span, it's time to stop.I used 10 drops and let them "work" for 30 minutes. While the drops were in, I leaned on my side and kept my head tilted to prevent the fluid from leaking out.I also shifted the tilt angle and rotated my head around to circulate and swirl the drops in the canal so every bit of wax inside was covered with the fluid.Like popcorn, you can judge when to stop by paying attention to the indicators of the drops working their magic. What are the signs? Tickling, itching, bubbling sensations. Hearing popping/crackling sounds.Although I continued to feel and hear signs, albeit less frequent, I figured 30 minutes were long enough to saturate and loosen the wax.I flushed the ear about 8 times with warm water using the rubber bulb. I inserted the tip about 1/2" into my ear canal.*There's no need to insert the tip deeper than 1/2” to 3/4”. Let the stream of water dislodge the softened wax. You don't want to shove it too deep and too close to the eardrum that the stream or tip could damage the membrane.Remember, you want an energetic flow of water streaming from the bulb to dislodge caked-on wax. A firm squeeze is enough. You don't need a miniature pressure washer!Unfortunately, the first attempt did not dissolve/loosen/dislodge enough wax to unclog and unmuffle the ear. Seems I may have buildup the size of a nugget that a gold miner would brag about and show off proudly at the saloon to fellow miners...Well, I did the second round about 12 hours later. 12 drops went in. Swirled for 40 minutes this time. Onto the flushing...I flushed with my ear horizontal/level to the floor and squirted about 5 bulbs worth of warm water. Tip went straight up into the ear. Still no relief.Seeing no success, I now changed my ear/head angle to about 45° instead of being horizontal to the floor. I squirted about 6 more bulbs worth of warm water with the tip of the syringe pitched up instead of going straight into the ear. (Pitched up, relative to the ear canal. Tip pointing up toward the ceiling of the canal.)Bingo! Hallelujah! Thar she blows! Booyah!Chunks of wax flowed out of my ear into the sink and my hearing was restored to normal.I continued to flush until no more bits of wax flowed out.Be patient. Depending on how much wax buildup is in your ear, it may take several tries before you succeed in de-mining your wax buildup. Don't be disheartened. Each successive try dissolves and loosens more wax until, finally, the dam is breached and you can hear normally again.(Instruction says to use twice daily for up to four days. If no success after four days, go see an ENT (ear, nose, & throat). From now on, I'll make a habit of using this every 6 +/- months in each ear as maintenance to prevent a wax blockage that leads to hearing loss. I suggest you do the same.Although excessive ear wax that leads to clogs is bad, the wax is necessary. It lubricates and protects the skin. It "traps" dust and small debris that may have entered the ear canal. It also has antimicrobial and antifungal properties that protect your ears from certain bacteria and fungi. There are two types of wax: wet or dry. Wet wax is moist and soft. Dry wax is dry and crusty. More people have wet wax. It's genetics, not environmental. To some extent, ears are self-cleaning. The movement of your jaw pushes wax and debris toward the opening, like a conveyor belt. Obviously, it's a very slow and gradual migration. If there are too much wax and debris that dry and adhere on the inner wall, the conveyor belt gets jammed. Buildup begets more buildup, and, after a while, it becomes a full-blown blockage that causes hearing loss.Update. The day after my successful de-mining, I cleaned that ear again.Since there was a major obstruction that caused hearing loss, I didn't know if there was wax buildup beyond THE WALL that the drops had been blocked from reaching. It was clean. No chunks.I also did a maintenance clean on my other ear. There was no hearing loss, but I noticed it was starting to itch a bit.Sure enough, some small chunks washed out. Nothing glorious, but definitely some buildup. And the itch is gone.I also ordered another kit for a family member. Received on 11-15-2023 with a 01-21-2025 "EXP" date.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice... but...
This is not working as well as I had hoped it would. Followed instructions for the 4 day usage - plus used the bulb syringe, nothing was cleared out from my ear. However, using a bobby pin was helpful at removing the wax. (per Dr's recommendation, I don't use Q-tips in my ears, it only packs the wax in deeper). Maybe using this product more days will help - will try again and see.
3.0 out of 5 stars So so, DON’T GIVE UP
So I have mixed feelings about this product. My doctor recommended it so I decided to give it a try. I was a bit nervous to try it after reading some of the reviews, but there are a few helpful ones that convinced me to. The instructions on the box aren’t very clear, and don’t allow the product to work as it should. Here is what I did -First, drop 5-10 drops in one ear (with your head tilted to the side). Lay down for about 25-30 minutes with that EAR SIDE UP so it doesn’t leak out. It’s going to feel weird, clogged, and you’ll probably feel deaf in that ear. THIS IS NORMAL. After the time has passed, get up slowly so it doesn’t spill out of your ear. Grab the squeeze syringe looking thing and fill it up with warm/hot water. It has to be at least warm for it to work. The hole is very small so it is kind of tough to fill but it’ll work. Once It’s filled up, tilt your head so that the full ear is pointed down towards the floor. Stick the syringe thingy in your ear as far as you can without hurting yourself and squeeze the warm water into your ear very fast. Do this as much as you can until the water is gone. Slowly pull it out of your ear and hopefully the wax will start to fall out.For ME, I had to do every step 2-3 times for the bigger pieces to come out. The first time, only small specks fell out. I got pretty frustrated but kept going. You can do this once a day, twice a day, probably up to 3 times but I wouldn’t recommend any more than that. Just repeat each step, stay patient, and it should work eventually. Good luck!
5.0 out of 5 stars Really works great if you do it 4-5 days as instructed!
I am 64 and never had an earwax problem until my recent annual physical. My doctor said I had bad wax and asked if I wanted her to remove it, but I did not want to pay more for what I thought might be a minor thing. I bought this product and for the for days I used it and then rolled a Kleenex each time and used it to dry and clean with increasing amounts of wax “stain” showing on the Kleenexes. I used the bulb on the fourth day both times, and on that final time multiple chunks came out beyond my imagination… no more earwax! This was easy to use and effective.
Worked like a charm
I couldn't hear almost anything out of one ear due to blockage. This thing worked like a charm in dissolving the wax wall that had formed in my ear canal. Note that you do need to massage your ear once the product has sat in your ear the specified time (mentioned in the instructions). Do that and your ears will clear up like magic. Do be prepared to clean a lot of wax nuggets though.
It saves you to go to doctor
Worked as described
One of the Most effective prouduct i bought through Amazon !!!!!
Damn. this thing works, but for first 4 days it literally made me deff and i literally felt like i lost my hearing, i even tried to clean my ear with toothpick lol (please do'nt do that AT ALL, it will only make it worse. but i did't loose hope after reading all these comments and videos on youtube. i used it on 5th day too and boom ... after using bulb to flush all wax from my year on first try.. huge wax started comming out.. i was literally about to cry but i realised i'm getting late for work. lol but nevermind. I highly suggest this product. and you should use it with a faith in it. IT WORKS :) TRUST ME.
Have to do a few times but it works
I was surprised how well it worked after one time - my right ear was feeling plugged for a long time- I found this systemEasy and comfortable to use - I left the drops in my ears for 30 minutes and rinsed with warm water with the bulb that’s provided and my right ear actually popped while rinsing and can hear more clear already - this product does work Update- did this a second time and the wax plug came out into my sink the key is rinsing with the bulb 2 or 3 times with very warm water - I am really happy with this product photo of wax plug that came out
Beat product on amazon for ear wax removal
I used it for extreme ear blockage. However it takes time to unclog but its the best product on Bolo to use. The cracking sounds produced are much satisfying.
