Vitamin C is needed for amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter synthesis, and the utilization of many nutrients, such as folic acid and iron. It is also a highly effective antioxidant that can protect the body's cells and molecules from damage by free radicals and reactive oxygen molecules generated during normal metabolism and exposure to environmental stressors. I really like NOW products and this one did not disappoint either. The bottles they use are great; really easy to open and take apart for recycling too. As far as the actual tablets, they are pretty massive, but I knew they would be for the mg dosage. But the shape is really nice for ease of swallowing and they have some orange speckles on them so they’re very distinct if kept in a pillbox. And no aftertaste because they’re coated.
