5.0 out of 5 stars Great for Hand Embroidery Needles
My vision is not what it once was. I've tried several needle threaders and this one is my top pick. I use size 39 embroidery needles. Some, with a flat metal hook tend to bend and go through the eye but catch pulling the thread through. This little gem works great. I can't speak to it's sturdiness as it only arrived today. It is a bit expensive, but when you need help threading a needle, it's well worth it. This may not work for size 12 quilting needles, but for thread embroidery it is great.Update: this great threader broke from metal fatigue at the end that goes through the needle. It's a shame, it can't last longer than 18 working days. it is too expensive to by several times a month.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works with Shashiko needles
I was unsure if the threader would work on very tiny eyes but YES..it did! I love all Clover items. They are top quality as usual. Would definitely recommend. I may purchase another one. It will work with yarn too.
5.0 out of 5 stars A life saver for threading embroidery thread
This little gadget has saved me endless frustration trying to thread 4 strands of embroidery thread. It’s easy to use & such a simple solution. Reasonably priced too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly meets my needs!
I’m hand quilting my machine pieced quilt ~ first time for me ~ and needed a needle threader to use with Pearl Cotton 8. This threader works perfectly and comes with a cover to protect the more delicate parts when it’s not in use. It arrived quickly which was a big plus.
3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work all that well
I bought this as I am a heavy embroidery thread user with thicker floss like Valdani and perle cottons. I don't like this threader at all. You have to pinch the heavy metal strand part to squeeze it through a needle. Then when you go to pull the thread back out through the needle, it "sticks" and is tough to pull it out of the needle eye. Just don't like it and it hasn't really saved me any time. As long as I can still thread a needle by hand, I will go back to doing that. I wet the floss end with my fingers and make sure it's been cleanly cut on an angle and 97% of the time, can thread it without an aid. But being old, I'm sure I'm going to pull this out and use it occasionally so I will hang onto it. Some websites make you feel like you GOTTA HAVE these gadgets, but I've learned the hard way, there are a lot of them you really don't need.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works Better Than Most Other Threaders
I went to a mixed media retreat and took a stitching class while there. I was super frustrated trying to get my needle threaded. I had a cheap, crappy threader that was almost broken. It was useless, so I had to thread by hand. I'm not great at threading needles and felt like I was all thumbs. I noticed one of the other class members had this Clover threader and how much easier it was to thread a needle with it. Once I got home, I ordered this item. This is honestly the best threader I've ever used. I like to to freestyle/random stitching instead of the traditional embroidery that involves stitching a pattern, so I change my threads out and rethread my needle frequently. I also love using thicker threads, like perler threads. I don't feel like I'm clumsy anymore when I thread my needles and stitching is more fun now. The only drawback I can see is that this threader won't work for very tiny needles with tiny eyes, and and with those, a smaller threader would be required. If that isn't an issue for you, then this threader is the bomb!

I have always trusted clover products and again they have come through.
