Got this paint by number as a Christmas gift. It was a challenge but I love doing these. Below I list the pros and cons but I want to say up front that I would paint from this brand again (Paint Works). My favorite brand is Plaid because the paint quality is a little better and no mixing is required, but this brand gives a finished product that doesn't look like a paint by number because, with mixing, there are so many colors used.UPDATE: I just finished my fourth pbn in about six weeks. Three of them were Dimensions/PaintWorks and one was Plaid. I've changed my mind and decided I like the Dimensions/PaintWorks pictures best. They look so much less like a pbn with all their beautiful colors and give a much more interesting finished product. I strongly suggest buying small, covered, plastic paint mixing pots and keep the mixed paint until the painting is finished so you can catch any spaces you missed. I sent my son a picture of the finished painting and told him about paint by numbers and he was so excited about the hobby and this particular picture that I sent him one for his birthday. It sounds like he's going to start his right away.OK, pros and cons of this painting and of the brand:Pros: A wonderful challenge if you like this kind of thing, it took me probably 40 to 50 hours to do; finished painting is really beautiful; paints are pretty easy to use; board is well marked and the key is very helpful; because colors are used both straight from the pot and mixed, there ended up being about 35 colors on the painting which makes for a finished product that doesn't really look like a paint by number from a distanceCons: must mix colors, 18 colors were included and then 20 more colors must be mixed with the included paints, I ended up buying small covered plastic containers for mixing and storing the paints so that I could go back and catch ones I missed; colors didn't match the picture on the box ,which is not unusual, but colors used next to each other were so similar in many cases that they almost look identical, that being said, the finished painting looks just beautiful, though a bit darker and moodier than shown on the box; some paints were very thin which made them hard to use and one color was very thick but still didn't cover well; included paint brush is too large for many of the spaces, I have my own so it wasn't a problem for me and I use a magnifying glass

This review is late in coming. I purchased the kit and didn't open it for two years! The paints were still in excellent condition and easy to apply. Even after the paints were open they did not dry up although it took me months to complete the painting. Extremely satisfied with the purchase and the finished painting which is definitely worth framing!

I am in complete awe with this painting. Tho I am not done yet it is turning out to be stunning and absolutely perfect. This is the second painting I have done from this brand and I think it's the only brand I will stick too for awhile. The print quality is perfect and the hard canvas back is so much easier to paint on then the rolled up ones.My only wish is that it came with extra black paint. That is the only color I'm worried about running out of.

I adore the tagboard paint by numbers and they are extremely hard to find these days. Super relaxing, easy, size is affordable to frame, but some of the paints (as all kits in my experience) have paints that don't cover well and/or paint that has gone rotten. Would buy again and just used my own paint to make the colors they went bad.

This PBN is the most beautiful one I've done. It is simple to paint, but uses blending and mixing of colors. The result is outstanding, although I would have liked seperate colors versus having to mix them. The concept of blending is easy to learn, and the painting prompts when to do so, with dotted lines.The paints in this kit are very fluidous, which means you will have to paint over the numbers a few times in the very light colors. So far, this has been the case with all the other paintings from this company. The good side to this is that you have a very low risk of opening up a dry container of paint.Overall, I am exceptionally happy with the painting. The detail blows away all the ones I've painted do far at this difficulty level.One thing I would suggest to the manufacturer is to supply more than one paintbrush with the kit. An additional thinner brush, with better quality would make the experience a lot better.I would highly recommend this product, but would also suggest you buy a decent paintbrush kit.

I am 1 chair away from finishing and have lost all drive to complete it but this was my first paint umbers and I loved it. I have a ton of almost every color (aside from black) left over and not sure how anybody ran out unless you let them dry. I used a dinner plate to glop a little and use that instead of leaving the container open.With some colors you will need multiple players but it’s better to do a few thin than one floppy because it won’t look even.I followed other people’s advice to do the dark colors first and I’m not sure I liked that very much. It kinda makes sense but the light colors can still paint over the dark ones and if you mess up (you will) and end up on a dark color you have to redo the dark color.It was not awful of hard for a big inner but it took me a few months of 1 or two hours in the mornings when I felt like it to complete.All in all it’s gorgous, looks just like the picture and I had so much fun.

This picture is beautiful but not for a beginner. This is probably my 6th or 7th picture. Some people may find it easier working with light colors first and dark colors last (or vise versa) but from experioence I find it easier to start in the upper left hand corner and do all the 'background' first going left to right (starting with the sky and the water). Then I can paint the leaves after and it looks more realistic. I love the bottles of paint that snap apart now. I mix my colors on a paper plate- stirring the paint with toothpicks and removing the paint a few drops at a time and I always have paint left over. I also paint right to the end of the board without leaving a border. I would suggest getting a smaller brush for the details. Very relaxing and I get a lot of compliments on my work.
Very enjoyable
My first PBN since I was a kid. I absolutely love it and the paint is easy to work with. If you have unsteady hands or make a mistake you can paint over to correct. It’s actually looking like the picture! I’m a Picasso :)Will definitely do another when this one is finished. I do recommend getting a set of brushes for better size selection as the one brush that comes with it isn’t sufficient to get in tiny crevices with ease and is too small to paint the larger areas easily

Ho dovuto sostituire il primo ordine che ho fatto perchè mancavano ben 12 colori rispetto ai 18 che dovevano essere nella scatola, ma sono rimasta davvero stupita dalla rapidità ed efficienza del servizio di sostituzione, oltre alla cortesia dell'addetta Bolo che mi ha aiutata per telefono, Servizio Ottimo!Il pacco di sostituzione è arrivato rapidamente, completo e identico a quello dell'annuncio! L'ho già iniziato e non potevo aspettarmi di meglio. Lo consiglio a chiunque abbia passione per la pittura con o senza conoscenze tecniche.

5 étoiles amplement méritées. Le tableau a un superbe rendu une fois terminé, beaucoup de profondeur et de réalisme grâce aux couleurs bleues et vertes largement dominantes... Beaucoup de mélanges à faire, mais finalement c'est sympa car même si on se trompe dans les proportions, le rendu n'est jamais raté. Je n'y connaissais rien en peinture par numéro mais je ne regrette pas du tout cet achat.

Tolles Motiv, allerdings wirklich nur für Erwachsene, da viele kleine Flächen zum Ausmalen sind und die Farben auch gemischt werden müssen
