5.0 out of 5 stars Durable and easy to install
This grip is awesome. I’ve always used the tape grips but they just shred apart. After my last tape grip lasting three weeks I went with the rubber grip and they have been super durable. I play with a glove so it’s hard to say if they have more or less grip, but at least for gloved play I never noticed any issues.InstallOk so I fought getting these because they looked so hard to instal. The reviews were awful and people whined about tearing the grip with pliers. The grip is not the issue, however the instructions are horrible so it’s more a company issue than a product issue. I found a video that I liked before I purchased and it worked beautifully. All three grips went on in 5 minutes and it was easier than tape.1) peel off the old grip and any glue or tape residue2) take off the wrist band3) put masking tape over the wrist band hole4) stretch out the top of the grip with your fingers so it’s slightly funnel shaped. This will make install much easier.5) coat the grip handle with gasket sealant. Lightly coat the inside of the grip as well. The sealant acts as a lubricant during install and a glue after it’s set. I used gasgacinch and it worked beautifully.6) slight the grip on starting at an angle and straightening the grip out after you get over the knob on the end.7) trim the end of the grip to the right length with a box cutter8) wipe any excess sealant off and peel off the tape9) re-tie your wrist strap, let the glue cure for a day and your good to go!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great grip once you get it on.
This grip has been great. I sweat a lot and the textured rubber grip works well while playing. It took me about an hour to get the grip on. I nearly gave up like 3 times. First I tried pulling it on with a needle-nose pliers, then edging it on with two butter knives, (which is what I ultimately returned to). When I was done, I had ripped like half the skin of my hand off and couldn't play racquetball for a few days, which I thought was kind of ironic. There are a lot of old people who play racquetball and I would advise them not to buy this grip because the stress of getting it on might kill them. When I was finished, I really thought that I had accomplished something and the blood running down my hand made me feel like I was victorious in some epic battle. About 40 minutes in, I decided that I had burned the boat that led me to this mission and I would finish putting it on or the grip would finish me. Sometimes in life, you have to set goals and persevere no matter what. Too many times, when things get hard we give up on the $10 item purchased from Bolo, but I decided that this would not be one of them. I wanted to tell my children that I was able to overcome this obstacle and use it as a teaching tool for them to overcome the battles that they might face. I am giving this product 5 stars because of the better man this product has made me by getting it on in the first place. The game play is good but the lesson is priceless.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great price, super grip
Great price, super grip, extremely comfortable. Installation a bit challenging but followed the video, used WD 40 and it made the installation much easier. It's been on my Racquet (Racquet Ball Racquet) now for several weeks with lots of use since install, still as good as new and it hasn't moved a fraction. Better than any wrap... well worth the cost ...try it you will love it....
4.0 out of 5 stars Grip Never Slips
I installed this grip and won the next day against someone I'd never beaten. It must be the grip, not practice and hard work that results in victory. This rubber grip features parallel ridges that zigzag around the grip. No matter how the racquet is positioned in the hand there are ridges to counteract any potential twisting motion. Compared to the original E-Force wrap grip, the Python feels hard, no cushioning. That feel isn't bad, it is just different. After a few matches the grip feels totally natural.Grip installation is easy, just use a good rubber cement, gasket sealer, or double-sided masking tape with a lubricant. Python suggests WD-40 or hairspray as acceptable adhesive alternatives to install the grip. Don't! I tried both and naturally the grip slipped. Do the installation right the first time, remove the wrist lace, use rubber cement or gasket sealer, and save yourself the frustration of regripping. The grip is slightly longer than the racquet handle. Measure the grip length first and cut off the excess before installing. I cut off the bottom of the grip and it's concentric rings with ordinary scissors because my E-force racquet has a flared butt and the rings weren't necessary. Warm the grip slightly and stretch the neck of the grip to ease installation over the racquet butt. Coat the handle and inside of the grip with. Slide the grip on and position it as you like. Without the concentric rings I installed the grip upside down to give the bottom edge a nice finished look. Wrap the top of the grip with a layer of electrical tape. Let the cement dry overnight, cleanup the excess, reinstall the wrist lace, and you're finished.
5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding 10/10
I have been playing racquetball for 34 years! The 2 racquets I have now have needed some extra help at the handle! I sweat a great deal and wear a premier glove both for grip and help with slippage from sweat (even w additional sweat bands). I always wrapped my handles when needed. I decided to try this handle to slip on. I was pleasantly surprised by the easy directions and fit on my handle. On the court I found that it absorbed well both sweat and the shock absorption from the ball to racquet. My second racquet has the tape. After using both, I prefer this handle and will order again for my spare. This will give my racquet more longevity before racquet replacement. Highly recommend! 10/10.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
I bought this protect to replace the tape on my racquetball racket. It is a little hard to put it on the racket, but I love it and ordered a second one for the other racket I have.
5.0 out of 5 stars Decent grip
I was a little upset about Head not making their tacki Mack grips anymore but this one works good too. I also use python gloves so they seem to mesh well.
Funcional
Excelente producto, lo he usado ya durante varios años, muy duradero, fácil de instalar.
