5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff!
I've used this for many years. Great flavor. I've used it on freshwater and saltwater fish, shrimp and oysters. Works great on fried potatoes. I also use it on wild game; it's especially good on venison. I haven't tried it yet, but I suspect it would be great on land fried pork chops. The bulk jar is handy if you fry often.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for fish fry’s!
My husband loves to go fishing. I have 2-4 large fish fry’s a year and I was so happy when I found I could buy the zatarains in bulk. It’s seasoned perfectly and we always get compliments and questions on what breading we use. I proudly show it off. Some people gawk at the size of the container but if you are fishing a lot and do a lot of fish fry’s. Then bulk just makes more sense. I have only found 1 place local that carries this in bulk and Bolo normally beats their price by a couple bucks. So it’s a great savings too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Taste
With this I didn’t have to use a lot of seasonings it was tasty and had a nice crunch to it
5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff
Born and raised in New Orleans. This is the stuff we have always used to fry fish and other seafood. We do doctor it up a bit to kick it up a notch as is required in these parts.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value
Can’t go wrong with this one
4.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't stick very well.
I added milk and egg wash to get it to dip. It still tasted good.
5.0 out of 5 stars best fix fry mix
Best tasting fish fry mix. Wouldn't buy anything else. Transforms fish into a delicious meal.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great breading
This is one of the best fish breadings on the market.I will say I bought 2 when I compared the price per ounce of the small box size, and you won't believe how much 10.5# looks like.
Fish fry
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely the best fish fry ever. It has all the salts and seasonings in it, so just scoop and shake. And is it ever crispy.Best of all, it is gluten free. I use it for fish, chicken, pork and beef. Fantastic
A taste of home
Exactly what I needed to satiate my craving for fried shrimp poboys. Less salty than the popular Slap Ya Mama, and while it isn't made in a dedicated gluten-free facility, this product contains no wheat products so it's safe for my intolerant husband to have. It's a massive size, but it's worth it in my opinion.Delivery was fast and tracked, which was extremely helpful. I'll definitely be purchasing again from this seller.
A lot of seasoning
This jar will last you a very long time. The only downside is that you need to keep it in the freezer or fridge after opening. It takes up a lot of real estate, but very good value for the money if you cook fish a lot. I find I like to dilute it with flour, because it is a little bit salty. Makes a nice flaky batter
Great fish coating for deep frying!
Good value. Great down South flavour on walleye fillets. Highly recommend this stuff!
Tasty!
Mix this with some lemon pepper and use it for fish and chicken wings. Very tasty and no need to add eggs or anything else.
