5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Moisturizer
Moisturizing my skin is an absolute must! Some time ago, I switched from lotions to cocoa butter. But during the summer months, I do not use cocoa butter when I will be out in the direct sun. I use almond oil to moisture. This brand works great!! It leaves my skin very soft and hydrated. It does not have an overpowering smell, and it isn't overly greasy. I use it on my face, as well, as my body. Very worth the cost.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this oil!❤️
I absolutely adore this oil! Outstanding quality! I got it as a carrier oil and it’s perfect there’s absolutely no smell at all so it’s a great carrier. It is super moisturizing I’ve used it about a week now on my skin hair and face it’s even safe on the eyelids! It is a bit thick but that’s a good thing! It’s easily applied and spread and my skin and hair drinks it up and looks so refreshed afterwards!
5.0 out of 5 stars Nourishing
I use this for my homemade lotion. The quality is great! It hydrates, softens and nourishes your skin. It’s a very effective ingredient in lotion. The consistency is very thin as shown in the photo, not super thick. It also shouldn’t be sticky. It’s just oily for reference if you haven’t used it before
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for dry skin and pregnancy stretch marks
I have been using this oil for my stretch marks and it works really well. It's not oily but on my skin and it gives me a little bit of a shine. It's really light and hydrating so I use it a lot under my make-up. I sometimes mix it with lotion just to have a little more of a hydration boost on my skin. Also works really great for stretch marks. I just had a baby and was worried they would heal really dark but they are healing nicely and I'm starting to love looking at them!!
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Oil, But Beware Almond Is a Sedative
I've used NOW's sweet almond oil and other products for years, and this is a very good company. Their products are always pure and potent. I've put it in products I've made like shea butter creams for healing skin problems for myself and others, as well as in soaps and applied to the skin directly. But almond is naturally calming and sleep-promoting, so I would warn about using a ton of it at once. I discovered this side effect when I developed a rash on both my lower legs as a reaction to a medicine. To help heal my skin, I slathered on a huge amount of this oil on the rashy skin about twice a day over 3-4 days and it worked well to help my skin, BUT I didn't realize 4 days later why I had been unable for several days to keep my eyes open beyond 7 pm in the evening and was falling asleep very early for me, and then couldn't wake up til 11 in the morning when I'm usually up by 7 a.m., and still felt drowsy most of the next day. I thought I was getting sick with a cold or flu or something. Then I thought about what had changed over the past few days, and the almond oil was the only new thing. I researched it and found in studies almond products can have a sedative effect. So don't overdo it. I used a ton, so just using it in small amounts in cosmetics or on the hair and skin likely won't have such an extreme sleepyness effect as I had, and each person is different, but something to keep in mind. If you feel overly sleepy using any almond oil, maybe cut back on it, or use it only in the evening sparingly before bed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Who doesn't want gorgeous, soft, no frizz hair???
Honestly, as a lover of coconut oil for the last.. four years, I didn't think I was going to love this product. I've never heard of sweet almond oil before. But who hasn't heard all the rave for coconut oil?? Well, coconut oil is definitely not my favorite anymore. I've been using sweet almond oil for dry skin (hands, legs, feet, cuticles), hair, and it's worked amazingly! It works really well on dry skin, but for the majority I'm using this for my hair. It's is seriously the BEST. I live in South Texas right at the coast. Meaning our humidity ranges from 70% to 97% (ew). My hair has always been frizzy despite the humidity, though, It's just the humidity does not help one bit. BUT with this product?? My hair is seriously not frizzy anymore, even in humidity. It doesn't sit on the top layer of my hair like coconut oil does. It feels like the majority of the product actually SOAKS in. Last week I soaked my hair in a mixture of mainly sweet almond oil with a couple drops of jojoba oil, grape seed oil, and castor oil for roots (because castor oil is meant to help with growth). My hair was crazy soft and frizz free for five days!! I believe this will seriously help with the oil production and dandruff on my scalp too. My hair is past my breasts and crazy thick, so I only have to wash it once a week. The week before I had tried a mixture of only grape seed oil with a couple drops of jojoba oil. It wasn't bad, but didn't leave wonderful results like the sweet almond oil did. I'm seriously so happy this sweet almond oil has rid me of frizz!! I was thinking about buying Living Proof No Frizz Hair Oil because I've heard customers raving about it, but goodness! It's 70 bucks for 4 ounces! Very happy with the price of this product and the results. I will be a regular customer. Hope this review was helpful! Oh, also, if you use this for your hair, I recommend using apple cider vinegar for removal. Pour about one cup or less on your scalp. Not only does it help with removing the oil but it also helps with scalp build up. If you use a lot of styling products in your hair, you will notice a big difference!! Hair styling products leave so much build up. Though I don't use styling products anymore and I still love using it for removing natural hair build up. Good luck!
5.0 out of 5 stars skin softener. needs a pump top
I use this after showering to soften and hydrate my skin. Works great. This oil does not have any fragrance. I prefer a pump top, so when I buy this version I am refilling an empty bottle of oil.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality Almond Oil
The quality of this almond oil is reflected in its taste and smell. It can be mixed with essential oils for massage, and by itself in certain foods.
Fresh - great quality
This oil is fresh and I am happy to find it after trying other sweet almond oils on Bolo that were smelling rancid.
