After brewing my pour over directly into the mug, I upgraded to a carafe and am very happy. It has a cool style and makes me feel like a pro.It was a little smaller than I expected and the two cups that I brew fill it up about half way. I would not recommend going smaller unless you only ever brew one (small) cup at a time.It looks fragile, but it seems durable enough, as I have set it down hard a few times with no breaks and it has survived the few times I have put it in the dishwasher.

I use this the opposite way to how it's intended.It's marketed as a vessel for making pourover coffee into. I usually make pourover directly into the cup, and if not, I do it into an insulated thermal container. I wouldn't use this pitcher as the receptacle because it's not insulated and does not seal.I fill this pitcher with filtered water and boil it in the microwave and then use it to pour into the pourover or French Press. It's perfect for that because it's made with borsilicate glass that can withstand the heat without cracking and it has volume markings, so you can see how high you need to fill it.

We bought this after the glass top on a previous carafe broke. This model has a plastic top, which I prefer. The 1,000 mL carafe is great for 2-3 people, depending on how big you want your cups of coffee. The design is nice and the carafe works well.

Using this with a large #4 Filter sized pour over cone works perfectly, as the handle and top opening are the perfect size to fit any pour over cone over top. The glass and plastic feel high quality and the top lid's slats are sized to help pour a perfect cup of coffee without spilling.Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a larger coffee carafe for larger groups.

Does exactly what I needed, which is to be able to hold a large quantity of coffee with a pourover cone. It is basically a modern version of the classic diner pot designed for use with the Hario system. The box says it's for the Hario 03 (large cone), but it fit perfectly with my Hario 02 (medium cone) as well. Using this means I don't have to get multiple drippers going when brewing more than one cup, and that the drinkers can pour their own amount (as opposed to measuring out each cup uniformly).It's lightweight and no-nonsense, with a wavy handle that matches the Hario Buono kettle's handle. There are other Hario servers that also have the "beehive" shape in the glass, but to my knowledge they don't hold as much as this straight-sided 1000mL unit.To be clear, this is made to hold your brewed coffee. It is NOT to be used on the stovetop.

Hubby has been watching YouTube on how to improve coffee taste. He got several different drip coffee makers, small, and the container that filters coffee is made larger for one cup but the container that came with it is only large enough for one cup. Which means he would have double the time and effort to make 2 cups. This easily fits under it perfectly and is easier to pour out the coffee with spout. Great addition to his coffee apparatuses. He cleaned out cupboard for all his stuff and is very happy with this addition.

Todo llegó bien, en empaque original y sin ningún daño, apresar de que el material es vidrio, bueno Hario fabrica un vidrio muy resistente, quizá solo sugeriría que se reforzara el embalaje del envío por cualquier cosa de ahí en fuera todo está muy bien
Super Glass pot!
We use pots of this style for making tea because they are made of glass. We had one prior to this one made by some other company, unknown, and it wasn’t as well made as this one. I don’t know what the reviews that say it is not Japanese quality, because I think it is! And yes, it is made of glass! If you are very clumsy and thwack it hard on something it will break! But we just love glass for making tea, so we love this pot and it seems quite sturdy for a glass pot and the plastic lid is designed well and the handle feels good and steady to pick it up. It was worth the price to us.
