5.0 out of 5 stars Full of aroma
Indeed, very strong taste and aroma. I do not make any tea out of it, rather grind it in a coffee grinder into fine powder, and then mix with a bit of water or liquor - and the experience is fantastic (for those who can endure the raw spiciness of it).

5.0 out of 5 stars Potent ginger
I started using this to make concentrated ginger tea for a friend with cancer, then kept making it because it's so popular among my friends and family with serious GI problems (reflux disease, diverticulitis, hiatal hernia, celiac/sprue, colon cancer). I soften a half cup of this ginger in hot water, add a couple cups of hot water, pulverize it with a stick blender, add more hot water, pulverize it some more, do it again, then strain equal parts into two quart jars, top them off with water, and refrigerate. Three tablespoons of the concentrate with a teaspoon or so of honey makes a tangy cup of tea that settles and sooths the stomach. Using Manuka honey increases the health benefits (you can reasearch this). I used to soak the ginger overnight, but once it soaks up the water and rehydrates, it doesn't want to release the liquid and the resulting tea wasn't as popular.
5.0 out of 5 stars Superior Ginger for Tea
This ginger still has flavor, and is cut smaller than many, so more of the flavor is available for the tea.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste
Organic great taste great price
4.0 out of 5 stars Great sting, odd taste.
This has the familiar sting and burn of fresh ginger, but the overall taste is woodsy, more like the taste of the skin than the inside of the ginger. Maybe I'm just too used to fresh ginger and this is normal for dried ginger.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fresh with great aroma
This ginger packs a punch exactly what I was looking for in my ginger teas - the pieces are large and chunky as advertised. I like that it isn’t super stringy like some other brands. The label I received is different than the one shown in the listing picture but not a big deal to me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic flavor and strong ginger “bite” when ground
Dried chunks are easily ground in coffee grinder—which releases even more flavor so can use less in my hot cider and turmeric. Can decrease to 1/4 tsp of the 1tsp ground.) Also, nothing to throw away as the ground is fine enough to use directly without straining.
Five Stars
Perfect for making my mala chai mix.
I have been looking for so long for a good source of organic dried ginger root
I have been looking for so long for a good source of organic dried ginger root...so happy to have found one! I brew it as tea. Excellent!
False adverting-- made in China... not organic from California
I purchases this as it is advertised as organic from California, once I received it.. it says it's made in China. I messaged the seller for a refund and haven't heard back. If you are looking for good quality organic.. this is not it as its MADE IN CHINA...
