About this item:
Starwest started as a small retail herb shop in 1975 in Sacramento, California. When we made the decision to begin selling herbs wholesale, we knew we wanted to focus on selling higher quality of herbs at the best possible price. We knew how important trust and transparency was to us, and how important it was to our customers. From the very beginning of our company, Starwest has always strived for the very highest standards. It was really quite simple: we knew our customer's business would prosper if they carried herbs that were high quality, straight from the source, potent, and worked for the purpose intended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Value
I am grateful to have herbs like this in bulk which is such a great value. The smell is nice. I was thinking this herb would be more green like the ones I dry myself. But they are almost straw like in appearance. Still a good product. Cheers
5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding freshness, quality and packaging
Over time I have purchased quite a bit of bulk rosemary. My usual (make that my previous) supplier really lost me on my last order. There was as much trash, stems and twigs as rosemary - I wouldn't be surprised if what I was sold was the leavings from the trash hopper. So, it's easy to understand my need for a new supplier, and a bit of apprehension as to the quality I would get from them. This one order put those doubts to rest.Upon receiving the shipment, I was immediately impressed with the foil-like, light-proof packaging. I used my electronic kitchen scales to weigh the bag (hey, we're establishing trust here, right?). 16.2 ounces. Opening the bag gave a vibrant, fresh smell of rosemary - no dusty or weak aroma. I sampled one leaf and was rewarded with a good, strong fresh taste. I examined the contents and found no trash or twigs. None. I was relieved and very pleased.Based on this, I highly recommend Starwest Botanicals. Keep up the good work, folks!
5.0 out of 5 stars Aromatic and Flavorful - Good Stuff!
We cook a lot of poultry in our family of nine, and used to have access to fresh Rosemary when we lived in the South. Plants don't survive the Winter where we live now, so I turned to an online source. This Rosemary was a generous amount for a good price and has not disappointed. It's aromatic and full of flavor. I keep about 2 cups in a jar for cooking and the rest in the freezer for refills. Very satisfied - would recommend!

I use this to make rosemary water and it works great!
5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Rosemary I've Ever Had!
I love quality spices and herbs, and Starwest Botanicals has, so far, not disappointed me. Their rosemary smells soooo good - opening the bag is heaven! Sure, it's a lot, but you'll live long enough to use it all, won't you? Keep the bag closed and don't let it all go stale, you'll be fine!I tend to grind this up a bit, or give it a quick chop; the length of the pieces is a bit annoying for me, though I know some love it for the authenticity. Personally, I don't like long rosemary bits in my teeth, but I DO love quality rosemary, and this is it; well-worth a 5-second chop or grind to get something that's really good, I think.
5.0 out of 5 stars Rosemary has some great health properties
Started cooking for a dog that has mast cell cancer. Decided no more commercial dog food if I can help it. Ended up researching herbs and the most healthful veggies for dogs with mast cell. I have decided we will eat the same things to the extent possible. That will let me stay more in tune to what nutrients I may be leaving out of her homemade diet. Rosemary has some great health properties, so am trying to include it and ginger and tumeric into as many of our meals as possible. Made some great baked/roasted rosemary chicken and potatoes and carrots and cellery the other day. Added rosemary to a chicken and vegetable soup/stew. It tastes great with vegetable spaghetti. Tonight I included it in baked tuna cakes. Making home made dog food that we share is making me eat more veggies and the dogs seem to love the effort. The Rosemary is strong but not too strong. They are "sticks" but quite edible. I didn't realize that the something extra that was missing from my stuffing all these years was rosemary. It has a bright fresh flavor. And I like that we are helping our health. This comes in a resealable pouch which I have been keeping in the fridge. I am pleased with this purchase.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality
Bought this to use on my thinning hair. Do not plan to consume in a tea. Not sure what to think of the warning from CA. Perhaps the next order should be organic. Would prefer the company not use silver bags to hide the product but use clear bags.
5.0 out of 5 stars Smells great!
I use this in my bathsalts and my customers love the smells.
Great flavour!!
I especially like rosemary as a tea. It makes for a wonderful, comforting drink. I should also add, that once the rosemary has seeped, there is absolutely no residue in my cup. My tea is clear, and wonderful. Thank you for such a wonderful product. :)
Awesome company
