This gray-flocked plastic bead design board has three channels for laying out beads, and six compartments in which to sort the beads and components you are working with. The channels are marked in both inches and centimeters. Clear Plastic lid snaps on so you can pack away your half-finished projects without having to undo anything. Measurements, including clear plastic cover are 13 1/4 inches long X 9 1/2 inches wide X 3/4 inch high.

The board itself: The board is nicely flocked so beads don't roll around as much. The neutral grey aids in color design. It's useful to have three channels to make multistranded necklaces or see how different drapes look. The upper part contains a ruler with straight channels. It would have been nice to use the depression in the center for a circular bracelet, but it functions for work-in-progress bead storage. The board is made of plastic and is quite thin. All the bumps give it some rigidity so that it won't collapse. The board feels unsatisfying in its quality. However, the board does its job well and is marked.The cover: This is a joke. I would have mistaken it for part of the packaging. The cover is not some piece of hard acrylic. The so-called cover is a thin piece of plastic that fits over the top of the board--assuming you aren't trying to cover the board when there are any substantially sized beads on it, because the cover doesn't allow for any clearance room against the board. The cover is so pliant that its best use is upside down as a backing to firm up the board.Final verdict: The board lives up to expectation, so 4 stars. I won't even consider the cover part of this product. If you're buying this because you like the idea of a cover, buy something else.

It has the u channels,measurements,and little areas to hold stuff.Its covered in something that prevents the beads from rolling about.Yeah it’s pretty cheaply made but ..um….it was only $9.It serves its purpose.I imagine if I’m careful with it and keep up with my new hobby I’ll upgrade to something sturdier.Oh yeah.about the lid….i did not see anywhere in the product description that it is a traveling bead board.Just use the cover to keep your project together and to keep the cats out.I store it on it’s side,and except for a few crimps trying to run away,everything else has stayed in place.This board is a nice option for beginners like me.

Works as expected. The lid is a great added touch for storage if you are not finished a project. While it is not the most durable board in the world, based on price point I am very happy with the quality. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for an affordable option.

Ich finde das Brett super praktisch. Die Oberfläche ist aus einer Art Samt, so können die Perlen nicht hin und her oder wegrollen. Die einzelnen Fächer sind praktisch für Perlen oder Anhänger sowie sonstige kleine Teilchen die man für den Schmuck benutzen möchte. Gut gefällt mir der Deckel dazu. So kann man die Perlen liegen lassen und sie sind somit geschützt. Würde ich wieder kaufen

Brilliant with the Lid
I've had this product before and it lasted years. The best addition to this one is the lid. It saves spillage and lose of your designs. A simple addition but very helpful. Also great for transportation as I now teach for a charity.
