I was on a quest for a retractable ballpoint pen that did not smear, especially on shiny paper surfaces like some greeting cards or calendars. The manager of a stationery store in NYC said this one was their most popular. I can see why. It’s lightweight, writes smoothly, its metal clip doesn’t snap off as some plastic ones do, and it’s refillable. I ordered more pens and refills. I like having them on hand at the various places in my home where I’m always reaching for a pen, in my purse, and in my travel backpack.

As a teacher, I have tried out many different types of pens over the years. I have used ballpoint pens, gel pens, clickers, and pretty much every other variation imaginable. I love pens and I love trying out new ones and I must say, I was surprised how much I like these retractable pens from Pilot. I have always like pilot pens but I typically don't use ballpoint pens. I typically use uni-ball vision elite pens, pilot G-2 retractables, pilot precise V5 RTs, and sharpie fine point pens. I know, I am a huge nerd but I really love pens. I was a bit skeptical when I first saw these, but I have never dislikes a pilot pen so I decided to give them a try and I am shocked how much I love them. They write like a Bic ballpoint but they are much more consistent and they have a finer point. I liked these so much that I also bought a box of red and black as well. They write very smooth, better than similar Zebra pens, the fine point allows me to write small which is my custom, and they seem to last for ever. I have pens in my backpack, in my desk at school, my car, and all over my house but I have yet to have one of these run out of ink and I have had them for over a year. There is really nothing negative to say about them. For fun I read a couple negative reviews about these pens and honestly, most of the complaints are stupid. Don't let naysayers sway you, these pens are amazing.

Pilot's been making this particular pen since the early 80s. My momz used to write with this pen, back before they made this retractable model. I used a few in Middle and High School. In fact, what started me buying these again, about 10-13 years ago, was the fact that the Ball Point Pen game is just not what it used to be and I'd been remembering that style/quality/weight/look of this pen. She always had one on deck. And, it was not expensive. Pilot makes some of the best (budget friendly) Ball Point Pens on the market; and, their Ultra and Hyper Fine (G-Tec-C) lines of their Ball Point Pen Technology is also on point.At any rate, I have turned a few people onto this pen. They all remark on and are impressed with its handling, writing, balance, and ink quality. For those of you who are into good pens, and want a pen that writes smooth, doesn't feel awkward in your hand, and is lightweight yet balanced, give these a try.The way the Black ink shows up is definitely old school, too--it's not a synthetic black but, rather, a distinctive black -- almost like the distinction between, say, Jeffrey Osborne's "Only Human" and the Free Nationals/Daniel Caesar's "Beauty and Essex."

These are awesome! I write small so the 0.5 point is perfect. Zero smudges, zero excessive amounts of ink for no reason. These are the best fine point pens around. Durable and comfortable.

I like a simple, fine point pen. This pen writes very fine, the lines are thin and crisp. It is simple, and looks simple and classy. The pen does not have finger cushions, but it is comfortable to hold through prolonged writing. The clip is sturdy and doesn't snap like the plastic ones (I am always messing with pen clips). The pen stays put in your hand and writes very smooth. NOT as smooth as rolling ball pens, however, which are too slippery for me (I write more messy with them). Although a fine point, it does not scratch at the paper like some fine points.My only complaint is that with prolonged, fast writing, more than the normal amount of ink will occasionally come out. This leads to a little glob of ink on the paper, and inevitably, ink on my finger. Glob sounds exaggerated, its really not that bad, but that's the only way I know how to describe it. I guess it could have more consistent ink release? I'm no pen expert.

Comprei essa caneta e devolvi . Não vale o preço . O anunciante postava como cx com 12 . Recebi uma com preço absurdo . Agora arrumaram e colocaram caneta única . Caneta de plástico super frágil .,não vale o q está custando . Completamente fora dos padrões . Foi bem difícil efetuar a devolução e o estorno . Td mto confuso e redundante . Sou cliente Bolo . Mas comprar de vendedor terceirizado nunca mais !
