5.0 out of 5 stars Genuine T&B cable ties. (Depending on the seller.)
From reading some other reviews, I see that people aren’t always receiving a genuine T&B product. I bought mine through Windy City Supply. They arrived in heat sealed packages, with a yellow sticker on them. I contacted the vendor and verified that the ones I received are genuine. (They buy in bulk and repackage them in smaller quantities, which is fine, because it saves money and I don’t need 1,000 of them.) Getting a genuine product is important. You’re paying a premium price, for a premium product. You should get what you’re paying for. T&B cable ties, are the gold standard for cable ties. They have all of the proper ratings and live up to them. They surpass all other cable ties, when it comes to strength, temperature range, UV resistance, etc. If you don’t receive genuine T&B cable ties, you should return them, at the vendor’s expense. Don’t accept substitutes! With all of that out of the way, I highly recommend these cable ties. I’ve used them, professionally, for over 25 years. If you don’t need the highest performance cable ties, you can probably get away with using cheaper brands. However, when you need them to last, and last a long time, Thomas & Betts are the ones to get. One of the best features of these, is the continuous tightening. Have you ever been using a cable tie, that was too loose, but you couldn’t make it to the next ‘click’? That won’t happen with these. Because of the design, they will tighten continuously. You’ll never be trying for that next ‘click’.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best there is.
The only cable tie worth buying. Save your money, get these.
5.0 out of 5 stars These are incredible
Awesome durability in the sun. Used these to fasten real estate type signs to wooden lathes and they withstood strong winds and seasonal harshness in the Midwest. Normal ties were popping off after a month or two. Only downside is the tip is flimsy so if you are threading it through multilayered signs where you have to penetrate one layer then a second layer, it’s all mashed up and flimsy and rides up into the interstitial space. Nobody knows what I’m talking about. Purchase with confidence.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality,strenght
I came across this brand probably a dozen years ago. Peread my supply ran out 2 years ago and I have missed them ever since and I just recently refound them. these are great straps. I love the metal tongue
4.0 out of 5 stars Strong, reliable and flexible - great!
These things are the bee's knees. Strong and flexible, the lock tight and don't give up. I've had other cable ties break apart as I try to snug them up, but I haven't broken one of these yet! This is definitely the brand that I will get in the future!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great UV resistance
I used these to tie down an anemometer wire along a telescoping flag pole that I had used as a mast. As far as tensile strength required for this job, the cheapo cable ties would have been sufficient; however, those type of nylon ties seem to embrittle here in the desert sun and fail after a year or two. These haven't. The cheapo ties have ratchet notches which didn't always snug up the wire to the pole exactly. With that stainless blade holding the strap, these can be tightened perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Thank god someone still makes quality zip ties ...
We used these when I was in the aircraft maintenance industry, and "zip ties" will forever be Ty-Raps in my world. These are strong and solid, with metal locking tabs. Not brittle and useless like 99% of zip ties out there.

These things work great. The very fine tooth "teeth" in the ratchet mechanism allows you to get things tied tight. It is almost like a gearless ratchet wrench in operation. Also, the tensile strength seems to be greater than that of the cheap crap you find at a retail store.
