5.0 out of 5 stars Works great … it’s Shimano
It’s Shimano, say no more, it works great. Worth buying the large volume so you have plenty of fluid. Will last for a long time. 10/10, would buy again. Cons: none!
5.0 out of 5 stars The best option
The best price for 1 liter of mineral oil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Necessary for Maintaining Shimano Hydraulic Brakes
I prefer to perform my own bike maintenance and 4 of my family’s 7 bikes have mineral oil Hydraulic brakes. It’s much more economical to by a large quantity of mineral oil brake fluid vs those small bottles. Since mineral oil doesn’t absorb water, I’m not worried about shelf life once I open the bottle either.
4.0 out of 5 stars The Bottle Pour Spout Needs a Redesign
The product is a good product. The issue is that when I pour into a smaller container, I wind up wasting a huge amount because it spills everywhere. Using a funnel helps but there is still a lot of spillage.
5.0 out of 5 stars Looked under 1000cc but after opening its good!
So, yeup, this is Shimano Hydraulic mineral oil. It works as intended. The reason I am leaving this review is because some of the critical reviews accuse a seller of stealing oil. I don't know why Shimano doesn't add a seal like you find on any other oil or liquid that proves it hasn't been opened.I made sure I ordered from a different seller and when I opened up the box it looked like I had been shorted a little bit of oil! I took a picture, but like everyone else I was a little chapped but whatever, I wanted to bleed my brakes and ride. That's when I noticed that the container must have changed shape after being opened up. You can see I used some (spilled some too) but the used container now appears to have more oil in it compared to the new and unopened pic!I think the plastic container may expand easily and living at a higher elevation (6200' for me) might cause this a little bit more. I don't think the sellers are stealing oil (A really lame thing to do) and I wanted to leave this review to help the most likely falsely accused seller.
