I always like to keep a couple of cases of SPAM on hand because it's nonperishable and versatile. It's easy to heat up, a reasonable source of protein, and it tastes great.

Yá'át'ééh, hello! I've been buying Spam from Bolo for quiet awhile now. We make them into breakfast sandwiches or mix it up with rice, veggies, and soy sauce for dinner. I would have rather had the lower sodium version but was too expensive. This was cheaper than at the grocery store. Shelf stable and easy to open and use. Great price and value for a regular size can.

I only buy spam when theres a good sale. I used to eat fried spam often, but recently the can have gotten to $5+ a can at our grocery stores... at which point, it becomes more reasonable to just buy actual lunch meat at the deli. Thanks, Biden.

I grew up with Spam so I have prepared it for my family for many years. It is also good as a ham, pork, or chicken substitute in recipes. Is it as good as ham or chicken? No, but it is a good substitute, shelf stable, good when fried like bacon to go with eggs, chopped up and mixed with eggs, potatoes, mac and cheese, soups, and many other things. There are other "spam" substitutes out there, but I have found "real" Spam to be best. This particular flavor is fairly high in salt, so I never add salt to any recipes I put it in. It works well with BBQ sauce, too. I know it gets a lot of uncomplimentery press, but it really is a life saver after a busy day. Would I want this every day? No. But because of its versatility it is easy to change its flavor. So, if you are looking to store a protein product on your shelf, I can recommend this product and its recipe versatility.
