Didn't trust the no-name ones to do the job and purchased the original equipment. After all the plastic cap has a direct influence on the measurement accuracy, as it is what is between the ear and the sensor.Why buy a super accurate and expensive thermometer and then cheap out and use random quality, non-certified caps with no known influence on the measurement accuracy...These work well and are easy to use, no complaints. With occasional use they will last a long time and the price difference is negligible to me.
