About this item:
epaderm ointment doesn't contain any active ingredients as such. It is a mixture of yellow soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and emulsifying wax that produces a greasy moisturiser. It works by providing a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface. moisturisers are helpful for dry skin conditions, particularly eczema and dermatitis, which get worse when the skin is allowed to dry out. Used regularly they help restore the skin's smoothness, softness and flexibility by helping the skin retain moisture. They should be applied frequently to prevent the skin drying out.

The best thing about this cream emollient is that it really protects the skin, while not being greasy. It rubs in if you want it too. It makes an excellent cuticle cream, similar to the discontinued revlon cream of the 90s.But what it truly fantastic is that it is unscented, meaning it doesnt smell like anything. Im tired of all the scents in everything.Unless you absolutely hate any thick cream, having this in the house is a good idea.

I bought this for the first time during the unusually harsh winter. My poor skin was so dry and any moisturizers i used were soaked up immediately and did me no good. If you suffer from eczema, even slightly, you know that your skin renews itself so quickly that there is barely any time for the skin to replenish itself before its renewing again, which leads to dry, itchy, flaky skin. Well....this cream will help! After a cool (NOT HOT) shower, i lather this on thick...it is sticky and can feel greasy but thats what helps your skin soak it in little by little, not in one big gulp. The next day, my skin feel so soft and smooth...I have now been using this for at least 3 months and my skin is doing soooooo much better! No more super dry patches, no flaking, lighter redness....i feel like me again. I will NOT let myself face another winter without this emollient!

It smells terrible!! And it says item is not eligible for return for a refund.. I just think that’s so unfair!!! If I could give it zero stars I would but it makes you choose one .

Consistency is very thick. I had to add a thinner emollient for my use. Depending on how you plan to use it, you may not have to do what I did. Overall it is very good and keeps moisture locked all the way through the night.
