I'm 46 and I've worn gas Permeable lenses since I was 10. 've never used anything else because there are no other choices available. I've used just plain water for overnight soaking as well as daily cushioning in place of this. I definitely prefer to use this over water. But, I know of no other product to substitute this. If someone knows, please share.Versus water alone: this cushions and soothes. My eyes don't feel dried out.
