About this item:
The Abena Abri-Let booster pads are Fluff-filled rectangular pads that provide an extra measure of absorbency while still allowing fluid to flow-through the pad and into the absorbent undergarment. An economical way to extend the life of the diaper. Abri-let booster pads do not contain adhesive on the back since they are large enough to avoid movement during use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculously Absorbent
This is now my go to for boosters. I didn't know exactly how much they would hold seeing as the description of the product states 12 fl oz which isn't much. However, if you look at the actual photos of the product, it clearly states the extra large holds 44 fl oz which equals 1300ml. That is a serious difference from the stated 12 fl oz, which would only equal 354 ml roughly. Due to the simple fact this product holds more, I'll be buying more. In addition it is also soft to the touch. This booster has no sticky strip to it so keep that in mind. This is a must have for anyone needed extra absorption.
5.0 out of 5 stars You need these, you just don't know it yet.
Simply put, without being too graphic, adult diaps have their limitations. And different levels of incontinence are handled differently by different individuals. Please not to be too graphic, but if you are a "trickler", you wont have many problems. If you have any measure of control left at all, you will to some degree unconsciously attempt to hold, then lose control of that hold. Thats where a significant volume released in a short period can overwhealm the seals of even a very absorbant Diap.Enter, the Abena Abri-Let Maxi Stuffer. I will keep it simple now. Unlike department store stuffers, these stuffers are long and wide, and designed, depending on your body shape, to cover all the way from front top, all the way around to the back if not to the back top if you are small. That right there is a big bonus. These are simply designed to wick and absorb at the same time. The number one complaint people have is that they need to chance because the "front" is full, and the padding in the back is unused, totally dry, and wasted. These stuffers absorb and wick fluid evenly thru the padding of the entire diaper.Yes. A pack of these costs as much as a pack of diaps. But do the math. You get 40 of these in a pack, and 12 or 16 diaps in a pack. One pack of these will reinforce several packs of diaps. And using one of these will, and I'm not making this up, double the duration of time before you need to chance, as well as increase the volume able to be absorbed. You'll go through half the diapers, for the price of one extra pack. This is one instance where by spending money, you will literally save money. Oh, and be more comfortable too.
4.0 out of 5 stars Too expensive
Good quality product but size too large for inside pull up. Problem with placement.
3.0 out of 5 stars No adhesive
There is no adhesive on the back, so you have to be very careful to position the pad correctly so it does not bunch up or slip out of place. The description says sizes normal to extra large, but I couldn't find any choice of sizes and this package didn't say what size it was. It must have been extra large because it was so long it went from the waistline in the front to the waistline in the back and was quite wide. It was very absorbent because there was so much surface area, but a smaller size would have been more comfortable.
5.0 out of 5 stars These are exactly what I have been looking for!
These pads are affordable, comfortable, have good saturation, fit well and don't have that sticky strip on back that tears up the pad or diaper beneath it. Perfect"
5.0 out of 5 stars good booster
worn incontinence products since 1980. familiar with the market. abena is the best. they’re expensive and worth it.one wants a booster pad that allows fluid to pass through—a plastic backing would defeat the purpose because fluid would spill over the edges, not through the center. these are relatively narrow so to fit comfortably within a padded brief or diaper. at night i wear a booster, abri-san pad & padded brief held snugly by regular underwear within semi-loose rubberized pant. sounds like a lot & it is —but i’m stationary at night so bulk is not a problem. Rarely will any fluids escape through that to the bedding.a dry bed is important. “dry” means a boost to self esteem as well as saves $$ in laundry and wear/tear on sheets.
1.0 out of 5 stars Very bulky.
We got these to help with absorbing large leaks. Didn't slow them down. They are very long and wide. Too bulky to wear out of the house. Too uncomfortable to wear at home. They have done a good job stuck on our swifter to dust mop. Just not what we needed.
5.0 out of 5 stars A lifesaver as a booster pad
My mom became VERY incontinent due to spinal stenosis that caused nerve damage impacting her bladder signals. Initially, I discovered she was using period pads and having multiple "wardrobe changes" every day to to leaking. So we moved to actual bladder pads...that wasn't enough. The regular OTC Depends that look like women's underwear didn't cut it. I went online to seek more heavy duty options. Found some overnight briefs (pull ups) and that was moving us in the right direction, but still, she had bad breakthrough leaks. I remembered something I had used with my son when he was little and a heavy nighttime wetter...they were called "diaper doublers" and looked like a long old-fashioned sanitary pad (sans any adhesive). Then the hunt to find them for adults...and I did. She would like up three of these inside her overnight pull-up to get the coverage she needed (night and day). She did say that with that many, she sometimes had a sore crotch or felt like she was riding a pony. But...almost no more wardrobe changes...although she did have to be awakened for a change in the night to avoid wet everything. I don't know what people usually do when incontinence gets to this level. I was hard. But with these booster pads (which like I said, don't have any adhesive so they are simply added absorbancy inside a brief), it saved us money. The booster pads are less expensive than the briefs. And often, during the day, she could just pull out and change the pads that were wet and not have to change the brief. That many brief changes in a day (which requires removal of pants...or a wardrobe change...on someone with a leg brace and always shoes that would also have to come off), was a time saver as well. If you have any questions or I wasn't clear, let me know.
Great absorbency booster
These add a great extra layer of absorbency/protection to a regular incontinence diaper, basically doubles the absorbing capacity of the 'level 4' diapers. Helps a bit with potential leakage as well by providing more absorbing material that can be positioned farther forward for dealing with men's positioning in a regular diaper. If you've had problems with regular leakage when going, or just not enough fluid holding capacity between changes, these are a great help.
OVER-THE-TOP PACKAGING
This is a very good product; however, the packaging was ridiculous. It arrived as a carton within a carton. The carton containing the pads was sufficient as a shipping carton - it just needed stronger taping. However, it was then placed within another carton twice its size! I live alone in a small apartment withlimited space. I had to haul this monster into my entryway and struggle with it to open it. I'm 80 years oldand I use a walker. Even if I was an energetic 20-year old, I should not have had to deal with this ridiculous packaging. And then I had to find a way to dispose of these massive pieces of cardboard. The inner, smaller, but very heavy carton shifted around in the larger & lighter cardboard box making itawkward for the delivery person to handle. Please think about the logistics of your actions and stopdouble-packing everything.
Good quality
My mum used to buy a more expensive version of this. These are as good.
Excellent
I use this with Abena Abri-Form L4 when extra absorbency is required. While not as absorbent as the Abri-Let Maxi, it is still a great booster pad.I get two bags delivered every month via Subscribe & Save.
