5.0 out of 5 stars Works great. Easy clean up.
I glued down walnut flooring to my stairs and it worked great.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, works well
Following a wax-ring fail, I had to replace 18 squares of parquet flooring. This product was recommended and did the job! All the big box stores only carried 5-gallon buckets of a similar product. Glad I found this!
5.0 out of 5 stars Inconsistent quality. Adheres well
I used a tub that was old first. It dried quickly. We had to have 2 people work the floor to get it done because it dried so quick. It stayed tacky inside for days after but the outside dried in 5 to 10 minutes. We had some flooring that came up after a day. We put weight on it and left it for a few days. It went back down and stayed 2 weeks so far.We got very fresh product next. It was like working with frosting that is silky smooth. It did not dry quickly. It didn't stick to everything including gloves immediately like the older stuff did. It flowed well. I was very happy with it.The 3rd tub we used (this is only an 11x14 room btw) was between the older and newer in terms of quality. We bought it and used it the same day but it didn't flow like the 2nd one and it stuck to the gloves like super glue on contact. The 4th tub - this should finish the room except the closet - is older. It is from late last year. It is as good of quality if not better than the 3rd one that was less than a month from the manufacturing date. The quality varies considerably. Be prepared for the worst by having 2 people ready to work fast. 1 person glues 1 line at a time while 1 person lays the wood. Hope for the best where 1 person is all you need and you can glue a few lines at a time. Some adhesives say to wait until they start to dry and put the wood down. This glue was not tacky on the outside of it except the very fresh batch with great quality. I would not do that with this glue because of this. It would probably work okay since the floor was pushed down after a day where the adhesive didn't stick and it ended up sticking but it seemed to adhere better to me when it was fresher.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Glue
I needed a smaller amount to do about 12sf of engineered hardwood to replace the tile in the entryway and continue the flooring the previous owners did not do (do not understand why people do not have continuous floors throughout). I’ve glued down engineered hardwood before on slabs and it can be a fairly messy job since the glue tends to get everywhere. The previous glues I’ve used were a nightmare to clean off. This brand was much easier to clean with just warm water. It’s been over a week since laying it and no pooping or raising of the floors (I had to place a couple rogue boards without the tongue and groove). Definitely recommend especially for the price and size since big box stores only tend to sell large tubs for $100.
4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
Worked great for replacing a section of parquet floor. Don't overspread though, this stuff starts to set FAST.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!
Excellent sticking power and easy application. No more squeaks in my hardwood flooring.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really user-friendly
We bought this to install solid strand bamboo flooring - that's not one of the listed uses, but we figured it sounded close enough (we'd run out of the 1535 that we used for more of the project, and weren't able to get any more of that locally/easily).This stuff is really, really easy to use. It cleans up easy, spreads easy, allows you to rearrange the boards a little bit easy. The floors we did using this adhesive look a lot better than the floors we did with the 1535. They even seem better adhered...I imagine a professional could've had better results with the heavier-duty 1535 than with this 1407. But for us, the 1535 just meant more room for error, uneven application, product getting in the tongue and groove, the product partially drying before we got the boards down... With this stuff, we could get the floors perfect. It's just easier to spread, and takes a little extra time to dry.If you're not a professional, I'd definitely consider the value of an extra-user-friendly product like this! I wish we'd used this for everything!
2.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff but needs better packaging
Have ordered 4 of these containers, 2 of 4 showed up to the house opened and spilling out of the sides of the container. Like the product but it’s wasting a bunch and making a mess inside the box. Added a picture and it’s like that around the whole lid so this one is going to be near impossible to open
Very easy to spread
Product is messy but works great.
