I have gone back and forth on electric razors for years between wanting one and backing off because of some review I saw. I like how close a regular razor works, and would even do a straight blade if I had the patience or the time, but when I saw this and how cheap it was, figured it was worth a try and I have been pleasantly surprised.A lot of the reviews out there are not setting the proper expectations for this product. It is a TRAVEL electric razor, not some high dollar 7 or 9 series Braun (at the time of writing this, they are pretty universally considered the industries best/standard). What can you expect when people compare a $17 razor to a $200+ razor? So with the right expectations, here are some things to note that I like and don't like (and a few comments):1) It runs on AA batteries. Nothing worse than going on a trip and thinking "nah, I can avoid bringing the charging cable" only to have the built in battery die on you 3 days into the your 7 day trip. With this, pop into the hotel gift shop and grab a set of AA's and you're back in business.2) This is an electric razor....DO NOT press it hard into your skin! Not only will you wear out the blades and guard, but you risk the razor cutting you. You glide it over your skin so the hairs can go in the guard and be cut by the blade.3) The built in rotating cover and brush are handy so everything is in one unit while traveling.4) For $17 (price when I bought it), while traveling if I need to cut weight for my bag or it breaks or it gets lost or forgotten, its not the end of the world. Yeah, it is annoying but I'm not going to let $17 affect my mood or ruin a trip. Taking my family to McDonald's for dinner costs more than that! Skip a meal or 2 like that and eat at your hotel/home and you can buy a replacement with the savings.5) Don't expect this to be high dollar quality. It will last you awhile but if you use it daily for 6 months or more, you got your value out of it and go buy another one. The replacement blades and cleaning cartridges for the high end Brauns will cost you upwards of $60 a year or more on top of the $200 price tag of the unit...You could get 3 of these travel models for the cost of the maintenance of the 7 series in 12-18 months. And if one of these lasts you 6+ months...3 will last you 18+ months so you just saved yourself the $200 initiation fee to be in the 7 series club and still have an OK shave.6) It does an OK job for a shave but you can't have a lot of growth so it is a daily use kind of a razor. If I miss a day, its easier to get back to the electric razor routine after using shaving cream and a manual razor for a day.My expectations were accurate for traveling and the convenience of being able to shave while I am going about my business with kids, work, etc which helps me get a few minutes more of sleep at night on those rough days. Not for a daily use product expecting an excellent smooth shave. If that's what you want, my bet is an electric razor is not for you. Remember to have the right expectations for the product and this turns out to be a good deal.

The Braun M60b Mobile Battery-powered Electric Washable Blue Shaver/Razor for Men is truly Top of Category. It gives a surprisingly comfortable, surprisingly close dry shave. Convenience is obviously a no-brainer. It takes 2 AA batteries. And being an electrical item with mechanical components, batteries cannot/will not last forever. But you're paying for convenience. This is the ultimate lazy man's shave.I was so impressed with my first few weeks of use of the M60b, I ordered several more. It's that good. I use one for facial hair and I use a second unit for body hair. This item is *exception* for manscaping. It gets the entirety of my genitals and genital area totally bald and very smooth, with zero nicks, cuts or pulls. Zero.Cleaning the unit is a breeze. Click-click... remove the screen, clean... click-click, screen reattached. Simple. Enough said.Travel convenience: Ideal/perfectI do anticipate that this item will eventually cease to operate optimally. It's very inexpensive. So yeah, it can't last forever. It will eventually wear out and will eventually cease to give a 100% comfortable shave. I accept that! I know what I'm paying for and, by my reckoning, this shaver is a bargain! I buy it for what it saves me in effort and gives me in terms of convenience.Strongly recommend; Will purchase again

I bought three little shavers to do a comparison and I needed them for travel and gym and as a back up. I purchased the Braun M60B and the Panasonic ES3831K along with the Panasonic ES-RS10-S. All of the little shavers work well with the ES3831K probably being the best for power and performance but it is marginal as you will be happy with the performance of any of the three. The ES-RS10-S is definitely the smallest of the group so it went into my carryon bath kit to save space. Its' small size is good for space saving but it does make it a bit tougher to hold onto, I've got medium to large glove size and it has almost flipped out of my hand a time or two so you will need to pay attention to holding onto it. The Braun M60B is probably the most versatile of the bunch as it has the foil cover and cleaning brush contained on the shaver, it is good for the gym bag. It does bog down some when shaving but it still does the job well. The Panasonic ES3831K is probably the best performer and I will use it as my back up for home. It does feel the best in your hand and seems to be the strongest of the three, along with the Braun it can be used wet or dry and cleaned with a brush or with water, the ES-RS10-S cannot be used or cleaned wet. The foil covers for the Panasonics are not permanently attached to the shavers and the brushes are not stored onboard as with the Braun.

Works well. Doesn’t have a trimmer but that’s fine. Does the job for a decent shave on the face with no issues. Doesn’t need foam or anything.

Wanted to have a travel size electric shaver with a reasonable price from a reputable company. Braun is a reputable company, size is good, like the "non chargeable" battery powered razor. However it takes forever to shave compared to "old fashioned" shaving cream and razor method. I don't believe that I was not shaving properly, performance of the razor is HORRIBLE. I had to shave over the same area at least 5-10 times to get rid of the hairs. Please research the product before buying any travel size razor.

Hard to beat Braun design. Compact, lightweight, reasonably close shave, excellent battery life. Pivoting sleeve protects head while packed for travelling. Foil shaving screen easily removed for cleaning. I love this shaver!
