Unlike regular bar soaps, this one leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable, rather than tight and dry.The shea butter and vanilla scent is pleasant and subtle. I’m usually sensitive to strong fragrances, but this one is light enough that it hasn’t caused any irritation or headaches. However, if you have very sensitive skin, be cautious the bar does contain fragrance and sodium lauryl sulfate, which can sometimes be irritating for those prone to allergies.After a few weeks of use, I’ve noticed the moisturizing effect lasts well throughout the day, and I rarely feel the need to apply lotion afterward. This is a big plus, as I’ve tried other moisturizing soaps that left my skin dry by midday.One minor drawback is that this bar tends to soften and melt quickly if left in a wet soap dish. I’ve found it lasts longer when stored in a draining soap holder to keep it dry between uses. I have been a user of another bar soap for years. I read the reviews on Dove, of which I am not a fan of the regular.I absolutely love this soap. After one use, I could tell a difference in my skin. The dryness was improved, and my skin was much softer. Highly recommend.
