About this item:
epaderm ointment doesn't contain any active ingredients as such. It is a mixture of yellow soft paraffin, liquid paraffin and emulsifying wax that produces a greasy moisturiser. It works by providing a layer of oil on the surface of the skin to prevent water evaporating from the skin surface. moisturisers are helpful for dry skin conditions, particularly eczema and dermatitis, which get worse when the skin is allowed to dry out. Used regularly they help restore the skin's smoothness, softness and flexibility by helping the skin retain moisture. They should be applied frequently to prevent the skin drying out.

I have had super dry hands for years due to washing hands, frequent water exposure, harsh weather exposure, chemical product exposure, etc., etc.I tried about five different products before this one… Including a prescription from the dermatologist.This worked better than all of them for me.Finally, actually seeing progress… Super grateful for this- and a great price too.

I stumbled upon this emollient because it mentioned Psoriasis. I suffer from SEVERE chronic plaque psoriasis. My medical treatment consists of Cortasteroids ointment and infusion. The ointments are typically not to be used continuously because they tend to thin the skin.It is very difficult to keep my skin moisturized. I bought this and have used it often.I tried it once in the shower. It does lather well. But I not suggest that it be used in shower or bath as it is greasy and slippery.It goes on very well and a little goes a long way. It does ease the dryness hence the itching is reduced. I don’t use on my feet until night. As I stated, it is very slippery and wearing summertime footwear would be a problem. However I put on my feet at night and wear a par of socks. Helps with dryness and crack feet.The size I bought is very large. 1.1 pound. Should have bought the smaller size. You do not need a lot.

This is a superb moisturizing cream. It is marvelous for a variety of skin issues. I use it for moisturizing my ankles and legs. They get ittchy and dry because of vein circulation problems. It is great for use after exposure to the sun or after swimming in a pool or at the beach. It is terrific for psoriasis or eczema.The jar is very large. A little bit goes a long way. It is better than many other much more expensive ointments.

I love this stuff! It was recommended to me by a Dr. I’ve used up almost one of a very large container, great return on investment! My cracked feet and my husband’s cracked hands from golfing were healed ! No other products worked. Better than prescription ones even. So I ordered another one just in case we ran out. I couldn’t figure out why this new one left a ring wherever it sat, I kept moving it around. My first one I had no trouble with. I noticed the bottom is cracked and leaking . However there’s no way to get a refund or replacement! Loses its value if it destroys surfaces where stored

If it was just a regular moisturiser it might be ok, but I Ichthyosis vulgaris, I use it at night and when I wake up it's already cracked again, I think the moisturiser time is too short.

The actual product IN the container is fabulous but the bottom of the plastic tub is cracked so it must be kept in a plastic bag so as not to leak out on the surface it is sitting on.I saw someone else mentioned this issue.Certainly they can do better!!!!!

It looks like it melted and re hardened. It is hard and doesn’t spread. Item can’t be returned.
