I don't know how I ever did craft projects without this thing. As someone who tends to store projects in one part of the house and work on them in others, this tray has quickly become essential. It's much sturdier than the flocked trays, but still lightweight and easy to carry, even loaded up. I lined mine with a bead mat and keep my beading loom on it, along with my pincushion, scissors, current thread and beads, findings, etc. It's the perfect size - not too small, but not so big that it's cumbersome to move around. There's plenty of room for my project materials, and it's easy to work on my loom without even removing it from the tray. Stashing my project out of the way clear across the house is now a breeze. I definitely recommend using this with a bead mat to keep beads from rolling around (not sure why it isn't sold with one - that would be nice). I like this tray so much that I purchased a second one to hold materials for another project.

I have in so many ways been happy I bought this Bead Mat Tray. It even comes with a bead cloth to keep items from rolling around. I use it so much. I want a couple of more now. Very nice simple and very useful. I bought a plastic one (for traveling or even just to use at home) offered here on Bolo, but can not seem to get tit opened without everything scattering all over and on to the floor. This is the best one I have found for use at home that does not cost a arm and leg.. Have fun Beading...

I love these trays for jewelry making. The 11”x14” fit perfectly in the tray. The combination of the tray and mat allows you to move your workspace out of the way. You can sit it on your lap and work. The size is great for jewelry making and the tray is sturdy. I have 7 in all and stck them on a shelf over my desk. I can easily pull out a tray with a different project on it and then put it back in the stack to change to a different tray with snother project or clear my desk. I can sit in the couch and work while watching tv. I can put a variety if materials on the tray to compare materials to plan out a project. So versatile, and a lot of that is due to the size. And the sides of the tray keeps beads from rolling off.

I couldn't take my beadwork with me anywhere because the beads would bounce and roll all over the place... this stops that. Plus, I love the little divider sections at the top to keep bead colors separate... I would be happier if my cat hadn't thrown up a hairball on it.

I needed a larger beading try so I thought I would try this. The tray is a good size, perfect for projects involving several different beads. The only problem I found was that it was very slippery which I didn’t care for as beads were going everywhere and mixing with each other. I went and purchased some inexpensive cloth and glued it on which seemed to work. But next time, I will try to find a tray with some kind of foam or material that is not slippery.

Got these for two of our daughters who are little beaders and they absolutely love them. Only issue is one has a bit of a wave in the mat part but she seems ok with it. Wish I'd known they came in different colors and could choose them- we got one grey and one yellow so it worked out. Now Mama needs one- much nicer to work on and save your beadweaving without your floppy mat messing things up!

I have read the bad reviews after I submitted my purchase. I did buy a different tray on March 3rd, but that tray still hasn't been delivered to me, and it may never arrives. The delivery for this box was super fast (kudos). I'm not sure about the ton of very bad reviews of this product, it is exactly how it's advertised. Of course, if a product arrives badly damaged, the disappointment is well deserved. Mine came intact. I already have my bead mat (it has to be purchased separately), and it fits perfectly in this box. I have a faux leather covered little lap desk, and the vinyl bottom of this box holds onto it greatly. Now, to the drawbacks... the overall quality of this box is pretty cheap. The inlay vinyl does bubble up at the edges, and it may let go after awhile, and will be in the need of some re-gluing. The frame does appear to be made from cardboard, which actually doesn't really bother me... if it was made from wood, the price point would be much higher. You cannot use this box without an additional beading mat comfortably, the beads will roll all over on the smooth surface, but I think, this box was not made to be used on its own, but to serve a confinement to keep the beads on the beading mat, and for that purpose it is a great little tool. Manufacturing seems a bit rushed on this box, but it is a solid 3 stars product, and it will greatly help me to bead more comfortably. I do recommend this product, if your expectation is in line with your need, this box will serve you greatly.
Extra set of hands
Exactly as described and such a perfect accompaniment for my crafting. I wish there was one that was half the size, but this works well! It holds the beads, and other items, and is very functional!
