5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps them floating high
This product works fantastically- excellent for all flies including CDC flies.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best dry fly treatment
Compact little bottle last longer than I thought and keeps your flies up
4.0 out of 5 stars Works but...
It's a little annoying to use. The brush pulls too much, and you end up losing a bunch out of the bottle every time.
5.0 out of 5 stars This is my new favorite!
I've used several different dry fly powders and this has got to be my new favorite! Plus you can use them on nymphs to make them appear like emergers. And you got to love that logo!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Dry Fly Floatant
I bought 2 of these as they are my friends' favorite fly dressing. I trust purchasing from FlyWest as I have bought from them before and they are great. I did research on Dry Fly floatant reviews and wonder whether Gink is a better (It still works fine but have to reapply too often to suit me and the can is getting empty..wonder why!)I do know Frogs Fanny is great but want to see if I will like Gink better. Stay tuned.Gink works well. I use it while on the stream most times as it is faster ande easier to apply than Froggs Fanny. Neither flotant works as long as I would like, but they are both about equal in keeping fly afloat. I'd give the edge to Froggs Fanny.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great
Floats flies like a cork. Be careful not to inhale it stinks made me sneeze really bad.
3.0 out of 5 stars Short-lived treatment
UPDATE: I was young and foolish when I first reviewed this flotant. It still doesn't last very long, and that's aggravating, but I catch more fish when the excess powder comes off as the fly hits the water. Don't ask me why - maybe real bugs are dusty and trout recognize that dust means real food? Whatever. All I know is that when the excess Frogs Fanny comes off the fly, the trout like it. I'm not a fan of it as a flotant, but as an attractant, it's pretty darn good.----------------------------It works, but I don't like it. Unless you do several false casts, it leaves - not a slick - but a slick-like coating of excess flotant all over the water; and its effect does not last long. Two casts maximum and then the fly is drowning again.I've tried using only the brush, dropping the fly into the bottle and then brushing it, and just dropping the fly into the bottle. None work for long. It's the only flotant I have tried, and when the fly is dry and newly treated, it works like a charm for that first cast. After that, not so much...On the plus side, there's enough in the bottle to keep using it for a long time. Don't know how one reviewer thought there wasn't very much Frog's Fany in the bottle.
