My 2.5 year old daughter's doctor recently told us she was showing signs of a deficiency in essential fatty acids, and suggested we put her on a fish oil supplement. The sign she was talking about is a bumpy, colorless rash on the back of my daughter's arms. I was surprised because we serve a healthy, whole-food diet which is pretty rich in "good fats" but then when I thought about it I realized that just because we serve it, doesn't mean she actually eats it. Frankly, she lives mostly on a steady diet of Fuji apples. Sometimes she eats the fish and eggs and other things we cook, but not always.I knew Nordic Naturals was a trusted brand, so I decided to try these ones first. She absolutely loves them! I give them to her with her Vitamin D gummy bear, and she usually picks these up first before she gets her gummy. She does chew them.The dosage is 4 softgels, so my only complaint is that they'll run out pretty quickly. This 180 count bottle is only a 45 day supply for a child.Before writing the review, I decided to try one to see what it tasted like. It doesn't taste fishy at all that I can tell. When the softgel bursts, it releases a small amount of strawberry flavored liquid. The softgel itself takes a while to chew or dissolve. It vaguely reminds me of some familiar childhood candy but I can't quite put my finger on what. I can't quite figure out what my daughter sees in them that makes her love them SO much, but neither can I find anything objectionable about them. I'd be equally or more surprised if she refused to take them.The bottle says they are for children ages 3 and up. I assume that's because they might pose a choking hazard for younger kids. I decided to use them anyway rather than send them back and get the Baby DHA liquid. I do supervise my daughter taking them to make sure she doesn't get it in her head to carry them around in her mouth all day or something. She has to chew and swallow them while I watch, and so far we haven't had any objections to that routine. The doctor says to expect it to take 2-3 months of supplementation before the rash goes away so I can't say yet whether it solved the problem.

In a nutshell, your kid will either love them or hate them. My little one asks for them, my older one runs away when the bottle comes out. They are chewable but it is a little strange to do so as others have pointed out. Not a strong fish flavor, but you can't deny the essence of fish oil in your mouth.

My daughter was resisting every type of omega 3 supplement after the Nordic Naturals omega gummy worms (they been out of stock). These are the first she’s accepted openly since the worms and actually asked to take in the morning. So happy to find a product that works for her.

I thought these would be a good replacement for the gummies we have a hard time finding/keeping in stock for my kid. Boy was I wrong! This product is AWFUL. I tried one myself before asking the kid to do so. After I tried it, I didn't bother asking the kid. It is HORRIBLE.* Yes, it's a small soft gel, but that's not exactly a good thing. It's just large enough and sticky enough when wet in your mouth to be difficult to swallow without drinking it down. Try getting a 3- 6-year-old to do that! I was planning to give this to a 7-year-old and I'm certain that would still be difficult. And, let's say your child could swallow this without a drink or chewing it - is that really something you want to teach a 3- or 4-year-old how to do? Next will be every other small thing. Not a good idea.* So, I bit into it to see if it was chewable. Not so much. Once it exploded and I got the liquid, I was left with a hard, rubbery piece of gel in my mouth that I wanted to spit out and took a great effort to swallow.* Taste: while it has a very mild taste and the softest hint of strawberry to start, once it opens and you get the contents, it tastes like fish oil. I will say comparatively, it's not the worst tasting fish oil - probably because of the very small quantity in each gel cap, but it still tastes bad and there's no way my kiddo would like it. Plus, then you're still stuck with this rubbery cap in your mouth and every desire to spit it out - and likely a good portion of the beneficial fish oil with it.Frankly, this isn't even a good product for adults and certainly not for kids. I was very disappointed because I've had other products from this company and was impressed. (Granted, they were adult-oriented products.) This is just not worth having. You'll find better options anywhere.For me, this was an immediate Return and cancellation from autoship!

My pediatrician recommended this for focus in class. I have seen a noticeable improvement. My daughter has been more successful in class and she says she feels better. we have her take these along with her other vitamins.

Good product
Bought this in the month of aug, 24 saw lot of improvements in my son from focus to gaining interest in studies, speech also getting improved. I started with liquid, then to gummy, and 90 pack and after this 360 pack. Now I picked omega ultimate junior (higher in epa), hoping his speech and others things also improves over the time. This does not means you stop guiding your kid.

Buen producto tiene un olor muy rico a fresa y sabe bien sólo que en la descripción dice comestibles y al abrir son perlitas rellenas de gel las tengo que romper para sacar el líquido y dárselo a mi niña ya que aún no pasa pastillas
