Unlike the 5mil extracts, the 1mil extract is not prohibited by most states. More importantly, you can "work" with it. The 5mil extract is awesome too, but the fumes area killer, it will make you cry and choke just from smelling it. The 1mil is just not pleasant to smell, but you can still work with it and cook with it.From a torts perspective, if you plan on putting this product on someone's food, (1) put only a small amount, (2) tell them that it's "a bit spicy." That way, your intended target is at least aware of the risk of the food he or she is about to taste being spicy. He or she is assuming the risk of "how" spicy the food will be, and if they can handle how spicy it is. The "choice" is entirely upon the free-will of the target, and not due to misrepresentation or concealment. On the same note, please do NOT put this in food and NOT tell the person that it's spicy. Sure, it might seem like a funny thing to do, but it won't be funny if they file a pretty strong tort claim against you civilly. Also, some people are unable to handle spicy foods, or due to some stomach, heart, or GI condition, are extremely sensitive to spicy foods. Giving them food containing a 1mil extract poses a serious risk to their health and life! That means, what you thought was a joke, could end up putting you in jail for reckless or criminally negligent homicide. As an added warning; please be careful when you use this product. If you don't use gloves, and then rub your eyes later, enjoy the sensation of 1mil SHU on your naked eyes. To enjoy a similar sensation, just allow the sauce to splash into your eyes while washing something or closing the top of the bottle with the cap. If you thought you felt pain from your mouth being on fire, wait till you see what it feels like in your eyes. It's not fun, so please use gloves and glasses, or try to be very careful. No communication herein constitutes legal advice. 5.0 out of 5 stars As a Squirrel Repellent - Working great for me!

    J. · May 31, 2021

This has worked really well convincing the squirrels in our yard to not climb my spartan tree and then climb onto the patio roof. I mix with water into a spray bottle and spray onto the tree and leaves. Rain washes it off and sometimes they come back and then I spray again and they stop. First time I sprayed it while squirrel was in tree and that squirrel took off like I have never seen before! Another time a squirrel was on roof when I sprayed tree. When he came back down, I saw him jump on the fence and he was very bothered, constantly rubbing his nose for a good 5 minutes and didn't see him again that day.So, for me, this has been a great success. I used to squirt them with a super soaker and they didn't like getting wet but they would be back the next day or 2. With this stuff, they don't come back for weeks. It has only been a few months but I think eventually they will develop a better memory. I might try mixing with dawn but so far, squirting the tree a day after a rain or when I see them back, has been easy enough and happy with results.I use rubber gloves and glasses when using this stuff. Even when I am careful sometimes the fumes still get me coughing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and hot

This was just what I was looking for: something to add spice, but not flavor. I've gone through tons of "hot" sauces that are really pretty disappointing. Ghost pepper this, trinidad scorpion that, all sorts of burns on the way out stuff, but they're all for the most part pretty tame. Also, the sauces don't last all that long, because you have to add too much. Then I decided to search for something (that I hoped would be) much hotter. I found this pepper extract and didn't pay much attention to the scoville rating, because as I mentioned, so many actual sauces list hot peppers as ingredients, but dilute them so much the sauce is barely a habanero or even just a cayenne. However, this extract is great! I agree that adding some to food is a bit tricky, since it's quite thin and does not come with any sort of dropper in the lid. I tried toothpicks at first, but they were too short and too thin to get enough for spicing up a bowl (plus you just throw them away). I settled on a meat thermometer, which is reusable, longer and larger diameter, and picks up a good amount of this extract when dipped in the bottle.I would certainly say a little of this goes a long way. Overall I am very pleased and will enjoy this bottle for a while before having to replace it. I will definitely order this again. If you like (really) spicy food, I would highly recommend this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Use caution and be mindful of the quantity when consuming

I have been using this for a over a year now in chili and making things a little hotter than usual.A few of the recipes I have used this in:I made a 3 gallon pot of chili with a dozen or so habaneros and 4 Carolina reapers, added about 10 drops to it and it was very flavorful with a lot of heat to the point where most hot sauce enthusiasts wouldn't eat more than a bite.Chicken brest marinated in 15 drops of this, a quart of chicken broth, pinch of salt, liberal amount of ground black pepper and garlic powder. Served over rice with a butter sauce (Butter, garlic, lemon, and chardonnay). It was extra tasty but had an insane amount of heat to the point where my roommates and I were all outside vomiting and coughing after a single bite.WARNING, THIS IS NOT A JOKE after over a year of use I have only used about a half ounce of this extract. Be mindful and if cooking with it the fumes can cause some eye and nasal discomfort similar to pepper spray. Will be buying again if I ever run out.
